I have this feeling that CDPR hired the guy who made the FGR mod. Which was a HUGE mod with mass adoration from the community - Total game changer. Then 1.5 landed and it no longer worked and he never released an updated version. Noting some of the gameplay updates coming to 1.7 I can't help but think that they hired him or something.
p.s. your english is great at least for me as a noob about english
- New romantic moments and unlock new dialogues
- Last I saw here the devs confirmed there will not be more romances and it was implied the existing ones won't be expanded on either. So is it a yes or a no?
- Radiant quests
- As opposed to what? Purple Nightshade quests? What is a radiant quest? I'm not a fan of cool sounding names that just mean nothing :>
- Shapeshifting mask
- Ok what does it do? Do you get new abilities? Or is it like an infiltration thing, an alternate way to play stealth? Or just cosmetic?
- The Relic option is now active
- That's really nice... and what does it mean again?
- The pedestrians are mostly bug fixes
- Sooo... like if we are experiencing a bug, there's a chance a pedestrian will come along and fix it? Or are there some glaring bugs with the pedestrians now that will be fixed (I haven't really noticed any, besides sometimes floating in air and doing their best to jump under my bike)?
I don't mean to be snide here, I just really don't understand what any of the above mean. But I mean all in all, this sounds really super pog! I'm ecstatic about getting to play it. :DFor example 3 different origin stories for the main character. Sounds cool, right? Does it do anything in the game? No, it's shallow and was left in the game so it can make a great sounding bulletpoint.
It's one of my famous red flags- making good looking bulletpoints that don't guarantee that the changes are not shallow and superficial.
I personally cannot offer any sources because I haven't even watched the trailer for the expansion. Am avoiding all of the info as much as I possibly can, but was aware of the thread so felt like bringing awareness to it could help others who want more info ^^
Can answer about the radiant quests though. Radiant quests are basically never-ending repeatable quests which don't have any meaningful content in relation to the story. They're just there to provide players something to do as a sandbox experience.
I'm quite surprised CDPR decided to implement them because CDPR is always about quality content. But who knows, maybe they added some twist to them that makes them not feel shallow.
They started it in Skyrim I think, added it to fallout 4 too.
I think it's supposed to mean flexible in away. Smarter perhaps? It's been a long time since I've heard that term, since everyone dropped that term for things like "branching" or "immersive" or "procedurally generated" ect lol. Now it's "ChatGP" or "AI generated" stuff.
The 'shapeshifting mask' thing looks to be an upgraded version of what we had back in the Cybergeneration days. It was called a 'Facer mask' a moldable flexible rubber like material mask that a particular juvegang called the 'Facers' used to use.
They were a poser gang. That is to say, a gang that used cyberware and body sculpting to look like other people.
You know how celebrities have folks who look like them, and those folks do jobs the real celebrities don't? Like having 4 different guys turn up on Hastings beach for the special event to see just how many pirates we can cram onto one beach....and each one looks, walks, talks and acts JUST like captain Jack Sparrow. (lol...even stagger, in one case XD)
It's a bit like that. Except the Facers took it to such an extreme they practically BECAME the person they were copying.
(Face dancers from Heretics of Dune, in other words)
The one in the trailers looks like a much more sturdy version of that, one that does not take 10 to 30 mins to mold into the correct face, and can instantly (almost) change at will. Might even have more than one preset.
(Want to bet, after it's done it's job for V, it will get destroyed, lol?)
But I do agree with the idea. It's kinda like Chinese entertainment with their fantastical names and lore, or the Japanese entertainment with their nice acronyms and screaming ability names whenever they do something: it's just nonsensical filler that exists to sound cool. Doesn't actually mean anything. All games will come out and have like a cool pet name for how their inventory works, or a nice acronym for a combat system. Or like product commercials love sticking random names like Ultra Night Plus, Velvet Sensation, Steel Blue or whatever. Apparently it works but after a while it just starts sounding ridiculous.
Give me facts, tell me how it actually works, what it does. It doesn't need to have a name I don't care about the name. Just let me know what difference - if any - it makes. :>
Not exactly what I meant. First of all, Cyberpunk offers a lot of shallow and barely functional mechanics that were presented as if they were the main selling point of the game. The fluid class system that CDPR had to completely scrap and build from scratch. Life Paths that pretty much don't bring anything to the table. Dialogue options that bring no consequences.
It's cool that we have a list of changes, but without any details they are meaningless. I know that there is 3 months left till the DLC release, but we are basically rehashing how CDPR misrepresented the base game. If I knew it will be buggy and unfinished, I'd just ignore it and wait 3 years.
There will be NO NEW ROMANCE in DLC, they will only MAYBE expand Judy/Panam like new texts. Radiant quest are going to be some kind of infinite quest that you can do forever and make some money or XP .. probably some random clear area thingy thing. Nobody know what shapeshift mask do, they only confirmed that it will be new cyberware (most likely only for PL owners; i guess it will make enemy lost sight of you if you hide somewhere for moment). Relic option will be new skill tree. It will have only few "skills" each one will TRENDEMOUSLY upgrade your character. Skills there will unlock with special currency that will be only available in Dogtown, so this skill tree is only for PL owners. Pedestrians - they will not make new mechanics for them in patch 1.7 like daily rutines or something like that. They will only fix some bugs that you can see now ingame when you meet randomly people in city.
I hope this will answer all your questions. Everything here is CONFIRMED by devs themself and those things that i am unsure of, they are most likely to be that way.
