Well that statement's gonna scare off about 90% of the activity on this forum.
Practically nobody has put so much effort on different VAs. Its either a single character fully voiced or a male and female version fully voiced. To save the effort they do a monotonous VA that works with all roleplay styles. When they have multiple VA tones and styles, its normally partially voiced like in cRPGs.
If they went monotonous with V, it wouldve lost it's flare that V has. And even with arab money, they cant fully voice many styles and tones, that alone would make the game 50gb more.
So yeah the preset trailer V wouldve been so much better.
I'm not big on the whole romance thing but what i'd really like is making more friendships.
But yeah, role playing in the doesn't seem to have a whole lot of options.
Some of the 'in depth' conversations i've had with core characters kind of left me scratching my head like, what was that all about?
Like say in the witcher you play as a callous bully philosopher trying to make sense of this world while still going to work everyday killing everyone society pays him to, and I like to try and fit into that role but most of all I like making my own chars.
I was so surprised when the E3 V was not there! (Now, I know that one of the options looks "kinda" like him, but really, no.) I can't think of any other game where there is a cinematic version of the main character, but then we do not get the option to play as them.
I used mods to get my V to look as close to him as possible and he looked pretty darn good but he definitely wasn't that V. I personally prefer when there is a default character, sort of like Mass Effect. But, I completely understand that other people like to fully customize theirs!
That cutscene shouldve been in the game, but I have it memorised and can correlate that in my head as if it happened in game. We had to do that all the time 2 decades ago when ingame visuals were incomparable to the cinematics.
Folks have mentioned 3rd person.
Not really on topic but while we're talking about head scratchers...
I like this game a fair amount and I'm cool with playing whatever view a given game supports but, another head scratcher is why you have metric craptons of gear in the game but can't see yourself running around the city in it.
