What is it about Judy?

Spoilers.
I genuinely want to know what it is about Judy that people love, since I myself don't.
I have played as both female and male V, and I did all missions with Judy in both.
I don't feel that she cares about V in any way, all she does is ask for help with her own personal problems, and when she doesn't get her own way she whines and stomps her feet like a child. I felt that she is very obsessive in a creepy way, selfish and whiney.
At the end of the pyramid song mission, Johnny asks to leave, and I did.
And you never hear from Judy again, and let's put it this way, she doesn't know why you left, but she won't bother to call or ask, she just disappears.
I felt that most characters though don't really care about V, most just wants help from V.
I felt that the characters that actually cared was Panam and Johnny.
Let's also take Kerry for example, if you take him with you on the nomad ending,
he will refuse to go with you. And some people have said it's understandable because "he's a city person, has his music and career in the city" Yes, of course. But V is his partner, and is literally dying. Has 6 months left to live, Kerry can't take 6 months off the city for his partner who is dying? He can just go back to the city after. I just feel like most characters you meet are selfish. But if that's the idea, I get it. I mean, the whole story/game is sad itself,
there is no happy endings really and everything is pretty dark. And I enjoy it,
but it's just a bit disappointing with the romance options that doesn't care for you.
The rest reacts to your health/situation more like "Oh yikes that s*cks, anyways.."
But I have seen so much love for Judy. But I felt it was a drag to be around her.
So I genuinely want to know others opinions, what their reasons are for loving her.
Maybe I have missed something, not understood something.

At first I LOVED Judy because her quest line was super emotional, she suffered a lot in the city and I think that makes the player feel "Protective" towards her. She pretends to be tough and learned to raise her defences and not let anyone in. Her relationship with V at the start isn't very friendly, she doesn't trust you but starts warming up to V as you help her. You can notice gradual changes on her expressions during chats and the way she talks to you becomes a lot more tender as you progress through her quests. For me, it was those subtle interactions what made her be my favourite romance in Cyberpunk.

BUT... You are right. Judy isn't exactly a nice girl but she somehow has the right to make the choices she did. She suffered a lot and like she mentions in one of the endings, she felt depressive in the city. So when she leaves you during the "Legend" ending it's sort of a bittersweet thing. She deserves better and if that means leaving so be it? You can't really hate her for being distant or wanting to leave. In the Pyramid Song quest she chooses to stay a little longer in the city for V but she already had her mind set on leaving.

I guess in the end of it all it just shows us how the city ruins the best people and I think that's what the entire game is about.

On a last note - her romance scene was the best one BY FAR. All the others have cuts every 2 seconds and you can barely tell whats going on. Her romance quest was made perfectly, it had a really nice build up, some emotional adventure about her past, an amazing song, references and most importantly... it was passionate. All of that makes you feel more connected to the character.

I don't get it either. I don't like either Judy or Panam, but Judy is by far the worst. She has this "my way or the highway" attitude where she is always right and always has to have her way.

Isn't that Panam? From the start where she busted the deal with V to get revenge on Nash to basicly every time she won't listen to Saul or anyone, only doing what she think is right?

Okay, fair point. In retrospect they're both that way. Judy is incredibly set in her ways about dealing with the brothel situation, Panam is the same with regards to Nash and the Aldecaldos.

Let's be honest, there isn't any "real" relationship in the game. None of them really feel real, It just seems like that. As a female V i can say both chars ql are very well written and i like the voices and appearance of them too. But it could have been made more intense. Judy is more of the calm type and Panam is much more hot-headed.^^

Lots of replies and I realise it's just a personal taste :)
I understand and dont look down on people who like different characters from me.
But I really can't see much positive things about Judy, I guess I just don't vibe with her.
But yes, the last comment/comment above me, all relationships in the game feels quite empty, sadly. But again it's not a romance game so it's fine. Would just be more fun with more intensity. I feel like both Judy and Panam are hot-headed but in different ways.

I played through a couple of times and I tried to be nice to her but on my last play through I took the side of the woman that wanted to take over Clouds and also took payment from her, she threw a fit and walked off and removed my contact details. I was like ♥♥♥♥ you child ♥♥♥♥♥.

As for Takemura, I was playing a female V and she had a thing for him, definitely, I made sure to go back for him and save him and as such I regret that there was no romance option there, though I have to say on my last play through I am playing female V as falling for Johnny. In fact the romance with Johnny is real and is there, if you notice it.
