Is the level cap still 50?
Title - because if it is I'll be real sad. Given the game's volume and the number of missions that seems very low.

LVL 20 on each skills and you can LVL up armor and weapons.
Just that is pretty much...

Well, that's sad. It's hard to feel like the less plot-driven missions have much of a point then

Edit: I mean, unless you purely just enjoy wrecking AI, but if I'm gonna do that stuff I may as well get on BF2042

Interestingly, there have been threads from people saying "I did everything, and I'm still not maxed, why is the game so stingy with XP!?!?!" Right alongside "I maxed out my level by halfway through the game, what's the point" threads. So, yeah. :D

They are not likely to raise the level cap outside of the paid expansion, they might do it there but that hasn't been released as of yet so we don't know. Most games other than MMOs don't increase level caps outside of major expansions.

There is a mod on Nexus that lets you set the level cap to whatever you want.
https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/2909

I currently have it set to 65.

That surely is exaggeration. Well, it also heavily depends what they mean by everything. If they expected to hit max level but didn't do any of the NCPD/blue side jobs then I'm not surprised. I'm nowhere remotely close to completing all the NCPD / blue side job stuff but in fairness, I have completely the vast majority of the yellow side jobs. (Game is in Mandarin so I'm not sure of the exact English name)

The max level to me is overall fine (wish it was 60 tbh but that's just me). The main issue is the lack of xp for most of the skills prominently athletics being so stingy. Unless you only use 1 single weapon type for the entire game after the tutorial most of the combat based skills are nigh on impossible to max out before the endgame without grinding (or glitches) and when I mean grinding I mean go around and look for the random spawns of gang - corpo goons since civs and cops give you 0 xp.

The lack of regeneration of enemies and level capping ruined the long replayability of this game. Such a huge oversight by the the CDPR.

Yep, Level Cap mod + Level scaling & Balance mod + Respector mod = decent NG+ mode - plus you can respec your attribute and perk points when you start a new game, carry over as little or as much equipment, Cyber ware, vehicles, backpack items, crafting supplies as you want. These mods work like a charm.
(I suggest if you want to use these mods tick the box in Respector to not carry over Iconic weapons and quest specific items - although doing so will not break the game, just better in my view to acquire those naturally during the course of a new play through...)
I have done endless replays with these mods, never had a single issue. If you bump up incoming damage by 10-15%+ (using Level Scaling and Balance mod) on Very Hard mode, you will have plenty of challenge as well...
