Only thing inside should be a GOG code.
So you have this box with /nothing/ inside ?
P.S. the code should be some where on the physical copy. If not you got a pirate copy of the game.
So A: you have a GOG copy and B: there should be a code for GOG somewhere in the package.
Look at the backside of the case inlay and similar places.
If you played the game in the past you most likely activated it on GOG before and downloaded the installer.
Peace
You can buy Steam keys and many games will come with Steam keys in the retail box but CDPR retail copies for PC are ALL just for GOG.
So if the OP bought a retail copy of Cyberpunk it is 100% a GOG version.
Its that simple.
She dont know after weve moved...sooo...im out a game i guess :(
If you installed it at all it's tied to a GoG account. Just go through account retrieval steps there.
And that if just plain false.
You cant activate GOG keys on Steam nor UPLAY nor EPIC nor Activison and so on.
There are like 10 old CD based games that allowed you to activate them on Steam and even that has been discontinued years ago.
If you are so sure then please, list the non Steam games you can buy outside of Steam and that activate on Steam.
I am waiting.
Edit: I hope you are not talking about the " Add a Non Steam Game to your library" option.
Because that is nothing but a shortcut to start the game. It has zero Steam functionality ( no playtime, achievements, trading cards, nor can you install the game from Steam).
Its the same as starting a non Steam game from the Desktop.
Anyway... I have all of my GOG games on Steam.
Peace!
No you dont. You have games on Steam that are also available on GOG.
That does not make them GOG games.
Cyberpunk 2077 is literally a GOG game since the owner of GOG, CDPR made it.
Thus ALL retail copies of the game ONLY come with a GOG key and ONLY actviate on GOG.
That key does not work on STEAM.
You can buy Cyberpunk 2077 directly on the Steam Store, that is the ONLY way to get the Steam version of the game.
There are NO Steam keys for Cyberpunk 2077.
And thats what this whole discussion was about. If the Thread Opener has a physical PC package of Cyberpunk then that its the GOG version and can only be activated there, not here on Steam.
Try to push the GOG code on steam you duffus.
