1.6 Netrunner Not Launching

The game is instantly crashing as soon as I press play on steam.
I can launch the game directly from within the steam folder.

I Cleared Download Cache | Reinstalled the Game | Updated all drivers | Reinstalled C++ redis packs | turned off anti-virus | Clean reBoot | -- No Different..

Event Viewer does record - Faulting application path: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Programs\CD Projekt Red\REDlauncher\REDlauncher.exe

Anyone else having issues or can point me in the right direction?

-verify your game files ?
-disable any mods you have ?

try running the game directly from the .exe in your steam directory, and if that works go into the options and turn off the new feature that allows cloud storage of saves that can be accessed from multiple platforms. Have seen posts of people having similar issues where this fixes it.

thanks for the suggestions, None helped.

Fully formatted and reinstalled windows this morning, updated all drivers, downloaded CP2077 - full clean build results in the same error in Event Viewer and game not launching.

- No mods used
- Fresh clean build
- Played 140+ hours before parking the game, updated it to 1.6 to have another blast and pew pew.. Nada

Try deactivating cloud saves ? I had a problem with that I couldn't launch the game...

Did you used to use mods? They change game files so can cause problems.

A fresh reinstall might help, which means removing all CP77 files except your saves.

You could try launching straight from the Cyberpunk2077.exe file.

After a full reinstall, another 3hrs of pain same outcome...... I am a little bit grumpy...
trying to get support from CD PROK Red is a joke... file is not a text file and i can't make the ticket.

i played for 140+ updated to 1.6 and now this crap....

Managed to get my game working.

Downloaded an older known to be working Video driver - in my case it was nvidia 512.15 - Clean install and after a reboot, no more instant crashing.... And no error logged against REDlauncher.exe in the event viewer..

Re-downloaded the 516.94 - clean installed back to crashing.

Clean install of 512.15 game working again... no issues..

Hope this helps other people out.. Maybe the latest and greatest is not the best after all.

What gfx card do you have? I just completed a playthrough on 516.94 drivers on a RTX 3060.
