CP2077, Windows 11 and Valve
Okay I upgraded my system to Intel 12th Gen and Windows 11. Made sure all Updates and Drivers are to the latest one's. Now when I play cyberpunk 2077 I crashed to desktop. It might be within the first few seconds or minutes of actual game play. EventViewer showing that its being caused by Valve, which is part of steam. Anyone else having this problem and if so did you find a fix? I have launched the game without Steam using the RedLauncher and I don't get the crashing to Desktop at all. Would really hate to not be able to use steam for any of my up coming buys if its all steam/valve causing my headache's with just playing games.

How is Windows 11 responsible for Steam's garbage UI which causes problems with several different high profile games?

The game should run absolutely fine on W11, been using it and had no issues.

I have Windows 11 with 12700k and i don't have any crashes. It must be something else.

The only consistent crash I've had upon startup was due to Precision X hooking into the game for framerate (just switched from Afterburner and didn't realize it was doing so).

Try disabling any overlays You may have on (including steam). Alot of games on DX12 have issues when programs hook in.

Single crash at startup and after that flawless.

Windows 11 user here, the game runs perfectly fine and so does steam. I'd recommend reinstalling your drivers and verifying the file integrity of the game.

Turns out that Valve doesn't like my Network drivers that were installed by ASUS software. Installed Intel Network drivers and the error msg's about valve are gone.
