Smartgun targetting debate.
So i've been messing around with smartguns as i find them, and i've noticed something, or rather got a feeling and i don't know if it's real or not.
It seems to me that different smartguns have different delays to lock-on : for exemple on the same target a chao locks on instantly (almost) when it takes a good few seconds with a yukimura. I'll need to test with a shingen vs a dian when i find some.

I use exclusively smart guns. It seems almost silly to use any other types of weapon that requires aiming effort.

Tho you really need to get some cyber upgrades to help you lock-in headshots every bullet with those smart guns.

Well, since you seem to be an expert on the subject, how about this : i tried using the genjiroh (iconic version of the yukimura) and sometimes the gun just won't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ target a guy, he'll be right in the box, 5 meters away and nothing. What's more, sometimes i'll get little crosses instead of diamonds when targetting, telling me it sees the spots to shoot but can't lock onto them. Question is : why.
FYI i've got legendary tier smart link in my hands, shouldn't be any issues with that.

I feel like i'm missing something, it's driving me crazy.

Some characters Tiger Claws particularly have smartgun jamming tech.

You definitely need some smartlink cyberware. I know it seems weird to upgrade your body to upgrade your gun. At the peak the smart bullets will go for 90-100% headshots.

Skippy on Stone Cold Killer mode is deadly. Dian Submachine is much better because you can fire the whole clip without pause and it has a high rate of fire. The Ashura rifle usually hits and it's easy to target the head. It takes too long to load so use at a distance. Some gangoons have blocks against smart weapons. I no longer use a smart pistol because the Dian is so deadly. It almost feels like cheating.

I didn't know about Skippy until much later in the game. By then I had maybe 3-4 weapons that were already better. But if you had that early in the game, that would be nuts.
