Living in Japan and how to pre-order uncensored version?

I am currently living in Japan and want to pre-order uncensored version since the Japanese version will be censored. If i pre-order here on steam or GOG, how can i know what version will i get? Thank you.

Cdpr is a company mod friendly, they release even a official tool to mod for the witcher 3.

The witcher 3 was not censored in japan(I guess) but another game was.
From another company that is also very mod friendly, capcom.

So we can use them as a example, resident evil 2 was censored in Japan but the community has created hundreds of mods, including one that wipe the censorship from the game.

In cyberpunk the community will be able to do this too, I'm pretty sure cdpr will also release a official mod tool for cyberpunk 2077.

I would not bother to much with the country censorship, but to be safe I rightly recommend buying on gog, in contrast to steam, cyberpunk will be your game so you be able to do anything you want with it.

On steam we just get the right to use a steam game but never will be "ours game".

The Modkit isn't that mod friendly, its a very limited tool in contrast to Witcher 2's Redkit. You can't create quests, new locations, etc. It even caused some outrage within the game's modding community. IIRC an unofficial kit was released last year to address at least some of the Modkit's shortcomings.

That being said, there is no legal way to purchase an uncensored version of this game in Japan that I'm aware of. Although, I don't think your modding community would need advanced tools to uncensor the game.

didn't the ""modkit"" made by the community? they never release an actual modkit for TW3

Modkit is official, they'd released it 5 years ago but it is very limited. The one you're referring to was released last year.

You could try buying a American physical copy of the game and having it shipped to you by using like walmart or gamestop or Amazon or Ebay or some thing like that and yes im refering to the pc copy not consoles dont own a console. =P

it would be troublesome and i dont really like physical copy, i plan to throw this account to my friend in Vietnam and let him do the purchase.

I couldn't buy Mortal Kombat 11 on steam because Japan banned it, so i searched it on steam and found nothing, but when i changed the store back to Vietnam store then it appeared, then i bought it in Japan the began to download it normally. I dont really know how this system works tho.

There is a rumor about the censorship only applies to the console version. I found this on a japanese homepage. But how accurate it is, I don't know.

oh wow, i just read the link u posted, it seems legit. wow it helps a lot tks. How can u even find this?

I heard this the first time on YouTube on a german gaming channel from gamestar. They was referring to an Japanese article. It took some time to find it.

Checking Google for any results on English, you going to find different articles with the same copy + paste information. But I will wait before release if we getting an update on this topic. And if not, gog is a good place to get the game uncensored.

You could just buy a key after from a third party in another country, (because the key was purchased from that place it should be that regions version of the game).

As far as I'm aware there's nothing wrong with doing that.
