Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077

Statistiche:
Ragdoll physics
From what I have seen in the tools of destruction vid, they seem awfully mediocre.
Explosions don't do much other than push people over while car parts will go flying, shotgun blasts will send them flipping occasionally. Characters who get a headshot without losing their head just go into a death animation of falling over...seems pretty disappointing given the weapon variety. It's what I would expect from an indie game to be honest. The only part I like is when someone loses an arm or a leg they kinda just fall.

Cars explode because you shoot the gas tank, which is flameable.

Humans aren't made of explosive stuff, and in real life, blowing someone's head with a shotgun won't throw him like a ragdoll.
I like it better when there's less gore and more realism. So for me these animation are quite enough and I don't see any reason for more unrealistic gore animations.

Cars shouldn't explode because you shoot them, they should explode be cause you hit it with something that explodes, which in turn should send a person flying as well. Or at least they should lose their balance and hit the ground pretty quick.
Cars do not explode if shot in the gas tank... that's just Hollywood stuff. The Mythbusters tested it once.

Facts. I was a Marine CQB instructor and we got to shoot gas tanks just to see what happens. Short answer: Nothing. Longer answer: Yes if the gas tank has fumes but no liquids...and its more of a pop than an explosion. Like popping a bag.

wow its almost like this is a videogame centered around story and character choices and not GTA
if you get shot square in the chest with a 12 gauge shotty with or without body armor (even if you survive) you will likely at least take some recoil from it but not so much with rifles and other guns but i did not see what you where talking about with the explosions, well i will also say that i have not watched 'Tools of Destruction' again after when they showed it at the Nightcity Wire but theres still a few months left before the game is fully out so i think if it needs tweaking they will tweak it before that (aka for the last line, im keeping up hope)

GTA physics has cars blowing up by shooting them though...so it is kinda like GTA.

you realize irl if you shot a gas tank the car would explode right? what do you mean you need something else explosive

you need the right mix of air, gasoline and fumes to get one to explode something that is not very likely to happen, if you want a car to blow up you use real explosives
If someone gets their head blown off, the rest of tthe body will just go limp.

The car exploding is iffy if there is no pressure build up the fuel would just burn out, unless its an explosive type of fuel But can happen

But a killing hit to the body normally results in ragdoll effects, unless the force of the blow is applied to the whole body., Would have to be a very big blow to send a body flying, think car crash at a high speed type force.

If an explosion can push a 1 or 2 ton car then shouldn't even a fraction of that force send a person off their feet depending on the direction of that force?

If you want to be real that type of explosion wouldn't push a body but would utterly destroy it, wouldn't be things flying around unless you count a stray arm. Well or maim it badly think of how some war gets you see with missing body parts.. Often their whole body didn't get blown back just the part hit with the direct force.

The human body is a bit more complex with all its moving parts then a solid object.

Though would be interesting to see what a true blast would do to body, most movies dont do it justice and it would be a real horror show, depending on angle and what spot of the body took most of the blast.

But dont think most of us are hoping to see those type of horrors in a game like this.

I know I don't. I just want to have fun, there is nothing wrong with hollywood action. This isn't real life. I don't want to see disturbing gore in this game, heads being blown off is enough.

I hate horror games for that reason and never watch horror movies, I find them deplorable. I used to love Brothers In Arms: Hells Highway. That was one of the few shooters back then with gore and limbs exploding. I had a nightmare after playing it and never played it again. It would be good if you could just turn off the gore option in games then everyone is happy.

True, but if all that happens is you stagger a little bit like someone shoved you. It is kind of unsatisfying.
