DLC cannot be downloaded properly

I just bought Phantom liberty separately from the base game. It seems that DLC needs to be downloaded within the game. When I clicked on download button in the menu page in the game, it always shows the status of downloading. The status does not change at all after I wait for more than 5 hours. I do not think it is because it is still downloading. There must be some other issues behind. Can anyone help me out?

Check settings/downloads & try changing download region ? Closest isn't always best if there's a problem between them & you...

Make sure your Steam client is up to date. Ummmmm....Enough space on drive...Check the really obvious stuff you can think of first.
