Game crashes really frequently.
It played just fine for over a year yet now it crashes really frequently. This time it crashed just because I shot someone. I play vanilla. Does anyone else have this issue?

Thx

What are your specs and do you make use of mods maybe? As the game has seen a recent update maybe if and when you use mods things got messed up? At minimum you can ofcourse do a verification of the game files trough steam and see if that does anything to fix/beter the issue

It's probably the 13900 as it's the common issue for a lot of people. Could also be your memory. I'd be looking into both.

Have you updated the latest BIOS for your motherboard? I have the same CPU and my game would barely even start after a while. Updated the BIOS and that stopped completely. immediately.

Yes this was a problem the last BIOS update was 2023 thank you very much

Recently bought new hardware and the game... crashes every few hours orso, at random while im doing what ever... no reason just ctd and send report... took a look into the files they send with that tool but... no sense reasons to me. My hardware a Nzxt B650E mainboard with a R7 7700X cpu and 64gb ddr5 6000mhz ram in combo with the 7600XT from gigabyte and 16gb vram. basegame no mods

I run a modded game, so I can't really say exactly why it crashes. But I have noticed that when my aim automatically locks on to enemy grenades (even though I've turned off all auto aiming in the game and use M+KB), it crashes the game.

Also, in certain areas, various tech weapons crash the game when I charge up the weapon. It's very random, but also quite common. This has also happened with a sword and with a power weapon. But those are a LOT more rare than with tech weapons.

I would suggest trying to link the crash log in a GPT of choice, either ChatGPT or Claude for example. They can read through the code and suggest why the game is crashing based on the crash log.

It may not solve the crashes, but at least give you some insight into WHY. :banish:

Constant Crashes After Decent Run
After more than 20 hours with no problems, i've run into constant crashes during gameplay. Crashes are about: dwm.exe, GPU 0x887a0006, D3D12MA: Out of memory gpuApiDX12Error.cpp, etc. I tried many things to resolve this issue but none of them have worked. Crash times are inconsisted too, doesn't depend on a point/area in the game i guess.

If you have Intel integrated graphics alongside a discreet GPU, it is often used to render the desktop (which is what DWM is). Updating the Intel video drivers even if you don't have your display plugged into it can solve this problem. Its a known memory leak.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately I don't have intel integrated graphics, my desktop is a custom one. I've tried to reset everything (bios settings & nvidia control panel setting) in order to see how it will go. It crashed again but this time it is REDlauncher.exe 0xC0000005.

you might be having problems with your RAM or GPU. Reduce the graphics in game. Re seat the RAM stick. identify if the problem is across different applications/games. Update all drivers. Run a FULL Diagnostics test on your hardware overnight from Boot. this will run tests on all your hardware to determine if something isnt functioning as it should. my opinion is a hardware issue. if your hardware passes the tests, reinstall the game. and make sure you are backed up to steam cloud. Hope this helps.

Im getting constant crashes now too. The gameworld just starts to disappear and then everything basically becomes unresponsive. Cant exit the game. Have to do a hard reset everytime now. Tried loading previous saves. Ill try lowering the graphics...

Update BIOS helps me. The Intel К-series processors have some bugs so you need update BIOS. My motherboard is ASUS ROG STRIX B760-F and my processor is Intel I7-14700KF.

Try it...
