Looking for tier 5++ Senkoh LX

I started using tier 5+ drops of weapons I haven't played around with before, and while doing this I discovered the Senkoh freaking slaps HARD. Stylish to the max, and less brain dead than using the Yinglong, it fires similar electric lightning death when you perk up the tech weapon tree.

Now I'm looking for a tier 5++ with empty mod slots that I can use for even more dakka. Anyone know a good way to find those? Also any suggestions for mod slots? My first thought is Big Mag and Wall Puncher, but I'm open to other suggestions.

Finding one at 5++ with empty mod slots will be RNG. Best I can offer is find a place where that type of gun drops or is sold often and keeps checking. IF you want guaranteed 5++ guns with empty mod slots, the x-mod2 line of Iconic weapons will always start with 2 empty mod slots, and because they are iconic can be upgraded. However they do not include a Senkoh.

If you can find a loot box containing a 5++ Senkoh (or anything else you’re looking for) back away, save, then reload. The tier level won’t change with a reload, but mods and number of slots will. Rinse and repeat until you get one with two empty mod slots.

I'm pretty sure I finally got one from a Dogtown Airdrop but not sure if it was looted from a body or from the airdrop, itself.

There is an Iconic Senkoh that can be found in one of the 3-skull increased criminal activity sites in Dogtown. I was almost overcome with excitement when I found it. I'll be checking the Jingugi shop in Night City proper to see what Vance will come up with. I don't find the difference between Tier 5+ and 5++ to be all that great,

Raiju is going to be better than any 2 modded he is going to find. Tech weapons get some of the best iconics in the game, where they are the best version of the weapon. Widowmaker, Lizzie, Raiju, Rasetsu.

I keep on forgetting about the iconics added in PL, I'm used to the Senkoh not having an iconic. Still, I'm planning on doing a bunch of side content before I start the expansion.

Honestly I didn't use many of the tech weapons at all during my first few playthroughs. That was definitely a mistake. They're a lot of fun.

Carjacking missions

You can reroll mod slots and rarity on weapons in reward box if you leave the car and quicksave just before a garage. Weapon type and color schema are generated at the beginning of the mission. As I could see, reward RNG table always contains two weapons, so if you see only one weapon in a reward box, you can reroll that as well.

P.S. You replied just before I posted my message, so I didn't see carjacking missions are not an option :)

Oof... so I tried the back off and save and reload suggestion. It DOES reroll the items... but it also turns them from a tier 5++ to a tier 1 with no mods. Not sure if they patched or glitched this...

Sounds like a glitch. I haven’t tried it in version 2.13, but it definitely worked in 2.12.
