The Hunt - game breaking bug?

I found Randy and scanned him, but there's no icon that shows up to turn off the pumps...how do I fix this wtf?

The whole thing is scripted, wait for river and follow his prompts.

Once you drop in the roof wait. There is nothing you can do but wait for him to arrive and tell you want to do.

If that isn't happening there is a bug and you need to load a previous save.

If I remember correctly, you are also tasked to help some of the other children in there before you're done in that place. Walk around to some of the others and look for the prompts to help them, then the next step should trigger.

I'm not actually sure if this is an optional task or mandatory, but I did this both times I've done this mission so far.

Yeah the sequence of things that happen in the shed are scripted Drop down and call for River, then stand around until River goes to Randy and then tells V to turn off the machine. Once that is done River tells V to go to the other kids, and then calls V over to help with the frame.
