LOD texture pop-in fix.

Hello.
Here is a fix for removing texture pop-in.

Find folder: Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\engine\config\platform\pc
Make a backup/copy of that folder just in case.
Delete: DrawDistanceBoost.
Start game.

This did wonders to my game.

Don't need to delete it. Just turn the lines into remarks. At the start of each line just add a semicolon

You can also add an actual remark line like

;add/remove the semicolons to change to/from remarks

And yes it's extremely helpful remarking them all. In case others didn't understand the file should look like this.

or

I prefer this method because updates and or file integrity check will create a new file if you deleted the file. Making a backup always a good idea. Also note i have them all remarked not just distance boost. I have good results doing this as well. But i do have an RTX4080. Not sure how a lesser gpu will behave performance/fps wise. I'm with Nomiz, this fix does wonders. I've been using this fix for quite a while now.

I found it on Nexus by accident tbh. Note there is a building in the air you could see using the settings i posted. Somewhere out in the desert i forget where exactly. Programmer was building stuff out of viewable range and was going to add it somewhere is what i'm thinking. Don't go crazy looking for it as it may be gone now. There are some other buildings on the ground that you normally would not see and quite unfinished. Again they may be gone now as well.

there is no file named like that. only rendering and platformgameplay

Each f***** patch produces pop-ups on the old saves and the only way to fix this dung is to start a New game, but I want to play with my current character ffs. Soooo annoying!

I don't have a file named like that, i only have platformgameplay.ini and rendering.ini.

Is there a way to fix the pop in for me? The new patch completely ruined the experience for me, not only by making pop in so obvious but also introduced a ton of other bugs.

But if i could just fix this damn pop in...

i think deleting the rendering.ini might help a little bit. but might just have been placebo xD

Well i'll try it, i'm desparate at this point.
Everything was fine until the damned update.

Can't they just patch the game with 2 features without destroying 15 other things in the process?

You are right. I went looking for the folder, and it is gone. How peculiar. Did they delete the folder after last update? I wonder. I did not keep my backup. So I do not have the files ny more.

Just would like to thank you and update to all, this did help. After multiple mods, increasing distance boost value with no avail. I added the ; instead of deleting file entirely, did wonders. Finally I can play this game at peace, until the next update of course xP

Sweet glad it helped and yw. And since we're not deleting the file it should work thru most game updates. Maybe a major update we'll need to change it back to semicolons again.
