I cannot get mods to work

This game seems like the easiest to mod yet I cannot for the life of me get them going. All i want to try and run is Cyberware-EX. I downloaded all the required mods (redmod, red4ext, redscript, tweakxl, codeware and, of course, cyberware-ex) extracted and dropped them into the game directory like everyone told me to. No luck, no errors, no crashes, just doesn't do anything.

So people on discord told me to try with Vortex, installed them through vortex, this time I got a script error. Did a clean install of the game and vortex + all the mods. Now there's no error but still, the mod wont work.

Anyone else having issues and found a fix? Greatly appreciated

You did activate the mod switch in the launcher?

The little gear icon (settings) next to the Play button?

Also make sure in Vortex settings > mods you set the deployment method to "Hardlink Deployment".

I just recently modded my game and nothing worked until I did this.

pretty sure you have to launch the game after installing red4ext to complete the full installation for it, then install the others like tweakxl, codeware, etc. since they rely on red4ext to work properly.

i wouldn't bother with vortex for this game, i just heard of too many problems with certain mods not playing nice with it and causing problems. just manually install, at least you'll know its your fault when something is broken.

yes that was the first thing i did after installing redmod
