Its just like... why? It's worse because they went out of their way to do this, not something they forgot to add.
Like, I want to know if that ever comes into play...but I don't. Oy.
here you say it best:
They could have at least extended them out a bit further so you can swim from point A to B without getting this message.
Could be for a DLC or something they just took from the game because the problems with ran into.
Really? Wow just wow
Some of the quest area in the game have invisible walls for vehicles to prevent bugs. Just parking on that invisible wall will cause a bug in my exp.
I have experience 3 bugs just parking my in-game vehicle in the game.
Like the 1st brain dance, Moxes parking lot is free of parking space. I park my car in that parking space to my surprise there is a freakin invisible wall for vehicle.
When the brain dance starts my toon just teleport on my car now I cannot progress that quest anymore unless I reloaded my previous save.
2nd exp Rivers quest on Kabuki, I just park my motorcycle 10-20 m near that invisible wall. Sadly I cannot progress that quest due I cannot speak to quest NPC in that area.
3rd exp In Sinner's quest I park my car were the quest NPC will spawn it's car. Like I freakin know that parking lot were that NPC will spawn it's quest car. I cannot progress this quest due quest NPC car is stuck w/ my exploded car.
Also the hilarious part of the game any freakin motorcycle doesn't stuck to tire or trash obstacle in Badlands. Like the motorcycle in the game doesn't have the same driving physics of the car in the game.
Hopefully those Keanu Arch motorcycle are really good for off road that been advertise in the game.
Like the Devs truly believes a player will not bring his car on those quest areas that have invisible wall.
Source please?
As for the external limits of the game world. What do you really want? Do you want the game to go on forever into a featureless wasteland? Would you prefer giant visible walls as an outer limit? A bunch of water so it's like a big island? A bottomless chasm on the border of the game world? I prefer a more realistic horizon with an invisible wall, tbh.
Mostly -- there's a few places (where they make themselves a part of combat encounters) where I wish they would be removed or replaced (with something visible).
For all I know, that bit I really want to see will come up in the final part of the plot. In fact, I'm thinking of ways that it easily could. But I don't know, and I've been deathly curious since I first saw the part of the map I cannot reach.
I had the same issue with the brain dance mission. I had the pleasure of watching all the cutscenes looking at my car because I parked in the parking lot. There's another big hole by the dam where you race with Claire, can't go down there either because they were too lazy to place the props right so they are all floating. Gives you the same "there's nothing there for you ..yet".
I'm going to give them the same message the next time they want pre-orders.
Here you are friend, enjoy. :)
"We’re not going to have this locked, invisible wall where you can’t go past it because we show a message on the screen saying you must go back. It doesn’t make sense, right? It’s like I just crossed the street, what’s the issue? So we won’t have anything like that.", CD Projekt Red's Alvin Liu told Wccftech.

Just one more lie to add to the rest.
As for what I want, I was pretty clear in my first post. Expand it a bit so it doesn't get in the way like in the rescue mission in the Badlands where the wall is literally right behind the mission so you can't snipe properly. It shouldn't obstruct gameplay or force me to go in any front doors and it damn sure shouldn't be in the center of the map like by the dam because they were too lazy to finish that spot.
Not only that but they also PROMISED the entire map would be open from the beginning of the game, it isn't. Not even close. You'll have to find that source yourself, I don't feel like looking it up. Edit: Never mind lol, it's in the same article.
I also would like to add that swimming from one part of the map to another in certain places does the same thing. They really shaped the wall to go in towards the land so it lets you swim out there for like 10 - 15 minutes to tell you in the end that you can't go there even though you are facing land that you 100% can go to. At least make it round so it's not in the way. Not to mention there's nothing deep out in the water as far as i can see, no loot or hidden things...nothing. It feels really dead compared to the Witcher.
Enjoy!Even original FF7,Fallout 1 and 2,3,NV,Morrowind,Oblivion,Witcher,Dark Souls,Skyrim do not have "horse shaders" for players when exploring,Ubisoft sandboxes do.Why even call it open world if its a scripted location locked sandbox?
