I would just go download the latest CheatEngine, then use that to edit how many you have. All you have to do is search for the current value of the components you have, drop one, search for new value, pick it up, search for new value, repeat until you isolate the memory address the value is stored in, and then you can set it to whatever.

Sounds confusing as hell but I'll look into it thanks

I can obviously just buy components, but it would be nice to sidestep that now that im just messing around

The first time or two you try it, it can be. But after that it gets easy.

Should be a few tutorials online - this type of memory editor is one of the simplest and easiest ways to hack in a game, and changing the number of items in an inventory, health, ammo, those types of things are the easiest thing to do.

It can do way more, but a lot of that is beyond me. But i had no problem giving myself over 9000 crafting materials. =D

Keep in mind if you forget that you have it running in the background and you play anything with VAC, you will be instantly VAC banned. There are alternatives to cheat engine.... like console mods

Actually even in a VAC secured game, you won't get a ban for just having it open. However, if you do use it to change a value in a multiplayer game with VAC, then it will trigger a ban.

But yes - Only use CheatEngine for single player games / in single player mode.

It was in the patch notes that they disabled the console. I havn't used the console at all, so i can't say if its true or not, but, that's where its coming from, people who read the notes but didn't try it themselves i guess. Darn CDPR with their lies again! lol.

patch notes don't mean anything as there are mods.

cyber engine tweaks was updated to work on 1.06 and only 1.06.
