That's why we keep Mama Brigette alive briefly so we can beat the information out of her instead of letting her completely and unapolgetically ♥♥♥♥ us over like the scumbag she is.
Placide just goes off the nearest high, high ledge.
My nomad V would have shot Jackie after the starting story. My corpo V would have come out of the bathroom to gun down Dex and his bodyguard. But they never were fully my V. So one plays by other people's rules.
Just ended the mission with the voodo bodys. Well at least i guess it was. It ended with "dont wanna have more bussines with you".
Wanted to kill the whole brigitte squad. Cant pull your gun, nothing.
I mean when its a charakter that is important for the story they cant just let you shoot them. But overall it lack the "sandbox" open world feeling imo which would be cool in this game.
Saved a woman in a side mission, a ripperdoc held hostage by tiger mafia. She was treating a person and insisted me to help. Blew that guys head of. No patient, no problem. So we left.
Thats the kind of freedom i'm talking about. You can do that in every situation i know but for an open world game it feels kinda too scripted.
Thankfully you can murder brigette if you put up with their ♥♥♥♥ as little as the scripted dialogue options let you. Again, if I had my choice I would have shot placide's ♥♥♥♥♥ ass the second he starts thinking he can boss V around in his stupid little office, but at least you can wipe that stupid smug grin off Brigette's face when you get out of netspace and she goes "heh yeah I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ you over, what're you gonna do about it?"

without spoilers because if you dont work with him you cant meet his boss who V is trying to meet with. You also get to kill him and every VDB later on if you want but you cant kill off your only lead before you get your info. Like they could do a Morrowind thing and just let you kill him then tell you that you broke the main quest and need to reload or persist in a save where you cant beat the game.
The actual info they provide is complete garbage though, it'd have been easy to figure out what to do simply by reading voodoo boy's computers and getting into their sekrit netrunning area after killing them on the spot for being pricks. Or interrogate Maman.
So its not surprising to me that people expected more from this aspect and i don't blame anyone for thinking it was going to be more inclusive towards players choices but i think you might still enjoy the rest of the game despite this...we still get small choices and ways to design our instance with what quests we choose to do and which characters we choose to help or get close with ofc that may not interest you but i would say stick it out you might still like it....this we get control of how certain characters will behave in the story. (and some side quests/future main quest moments)
I've already come to terms with the fact that we get to design how V looks and make some choices with her but ultimately she is cdpr's character they designed in a specific way or at least that's the usual explanation that is given to players who want more put into being able to make your own choices....in all honesty i don't think it comes down to ''this is just how cdpr designed V to be'' because we do actually get to make allot of choices in the game despite them being minor but they just don't allow you to make total game changing choices because that requires more time to cover for those types of instances and i'm glad they just didn't rather than give us bad instances....i play other RPG games that actually give me this gameplay and i play cyberpunk just to enjoy cyberpunk.
I kinda like that. The quest often is still there so you can change your mind. Which is good.
But also these red indicated dialogue choices. They dont really do anything in many situations. Maybe for npc you can romance. But aside from that it seems more like an Illusion of choice tbh.
Maybe some accumulate to a different ending but i dont really care for that.
In witcher 3 only after i finished the game i found out ciri can die if you make wrong choices and i was so happy she lived in my game. Didnt looked up anything beforehand.
In cyberpunk i dont really care for V or any charakter. At least not as much. I'm at the point of no return now and just wanna try finish Panama and judy quests before.
