Essential (QoL) mods?
After a few years of sitting in my wishlist, I finally got Cyberpunk 2077, and it's been great so far. Runs fantastic on a 3060 TI (Ray Tracing low).

That said, are these some quality of life mods that I should get? I'm talking stuff that doesn't alter the game in any major way, but just things that improve otherwise annoying things in the game? One I found for example was better loot markers, because truth be told, the loot menu is all over the place.

While there's a vast array of mods I'll try to list a few that would be overlooked or underrated, with varying degrees of use while possibly not changing too much of the core gameplay:

Simple Flashlight
https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/2913
You can bind it to a controller or keyboard key, and adjust all aspects of the light to your liking. Things like brightness, range, falloff, color etc. It's just a handy little guy to have when you're looting those dark corners.

Toggle HUD
https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/13860
Gives you the ability to toggle on and off the HUD, outside of photomode.

Disable Shard Whitenoise
https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/2153
Disable the white noise that keeps playing in the background if you open a shard's content from notification. You might find out you eventually need. The first sanity-check

All TVs Interactable
https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/11719
Makes all world (non-interactive) TVs interactive and optionally turns them off by default. Night City can be Loud City sometimes. The second sanity-check.

Recap Video Begone
https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/1614
"A small mod that replaces the recap video that plays when pressing "Continue" in the main menu with the regular static images loadingscreen / A blank black screen."
If you reload a lot you'll probably get sick of the recaps fairly quickly. The third sanity-check.

If you check my post history I recently suggested some cosmetic fixes and mods in a different thread. Most shouldn't alter the gameplay but just remove some of the rough edges in the game. *YMMV with a 3060ti in particular in terms of performance here.

I would get the core mods no matter what which includes things like: CET, redscript, archiveXL, equipment-ex, codeware, mod settings etc. The psiberx suite. Many mods will force you to have these anyway as they're core.

Yep Better Loot Markers is a must have.

Vehicle Customizer

Informative HUD Quickhacks Memory Counter & Quickhacks sort by slot are nice QoL improvements if you're netrunning

Both Fixer's Hidden Gems - the NC & Dogtown versions - are a nice way to wind down at the end of a playthrough when you've done everything else

Edit to add - And of course Cyber Engine Tweaks
