What are we supposed to do for a ride after Delemain totals V's car? This used to be the tutorial on how to buy cars and you would get Regina calling you about one for sell near by. But now you just run around without a ride until the funeral? Or run your happy ass out of town to the car vendor terminals?

Go to Jackie's funeral and talk to his mom. Also not long after El Capitan will contact you and tell you about car vendor terminals ( There are plenty in town, by the way. Not sure why you think you have to run out of town.... ). But, honestly, cars in town are usually more trouble than it's worth. Easier to hoof it and/or fast travel.

Also, NCART can get you around a third of the map.

You can contact the car fixer through the computer in Vs appartment

Steal cars (but watch out for cops], or grab motorcycles from Tyger Claws or other gangers. Of course they will disappear after you abandon them, but it's do-able. Also, there's a gig for the Padre called Life's Work that will solve your lack of wheels after a day or two. And you can talk to Mama Welles...her side job (Heroes) will fix you up too.

I recommend a Vortex mod called Vehicle No Despawn that makes it far less likely that your vehicle evaporates after you leave them out of sight for more than a minute.

You will come across parked vehicles and motorcycles throughout, that will allow you to break in and ride off without consequence (unless like Tokenn said, a cop is around.). Some parked vehicles are above your cred level, but some are free for the taking. Especially motorcycles. Just be wary of cops and enemies.

Btw, there's an NCART lobby right next to your Megabuilding, which can drop you off at Japantown, so you can get your money from Wakako and buy yourself a new ride (even a cheap temporary one).

I've seen people walk the entire way to Wakako, crossing the large bridge, bypassing parked cars and bikes they could have "borrowed". lol Just look around or take the NCART, then buy a car. You can use any working computer to access the web and hit up the Car Fixer site.

I have 2 options....

first option.... I get the body count lottery thing on my phone in game.... think it was from a preorder bonus though.... gives me a free car basically....

second option.... and one that I tend to go for anyways.... is to just buy myself a bike early on.... thing is I have a tendency to grind skills for the perk points.... main quest wise I just complete it up to the BD at Lizzies.... then hold off on going to Maelstrom and just grind for perk points.... by time I reach 35 with each skill tree (thats 10 extra perk points total)...

i'd have pretty much max street cred by then... also end up having a tier 4 cyberdeck as well and able to go full stealth with memory wipe tier 4 quickhack... cause quickhacks from vendors is tied to your cyberdeck level and not your character level like other weapons are.... you can buy memory wipe tier 4 when you have a tier 4 cyberdeck

buy a car AKA transfer eddies to El Capitan via Auto Fixer which can be found on discrete terminals all over NC or on most all computers/laptops found in-game under the tab NET

Steal bikes. Use em. Leave em outside your apartment. Sometimes they're still there next time you play; if they are - happy days. If they're not, find some Kitty Claws or Animals & steal another one. Either that or gift yourself some $ in CET & buy something

Did... Did you forget that you can just... Literally go back up the elevator in the same parking garage, that takes you literally to your floor... 2 doors away from your own apartment where you can just... Buy a car?

Or like, just steal the other car across the lot from the one you just had totaled? Like there's a million options, quite literally.

There are always cars parked outside the Afterlife that you can steal without problems.

Isnt this just literally the quest start for Delamain? You can just show up to Delamain and he will get your car fixed without you needing to progress any further in the quest if I recall correctly.

Isnt this just literally the quest start for Delamain? You can just show up to Delamain and he will get your car fixed without you needing to progress any further in the quest if I recall correctly.

The quest itself to get your car back is waiting something like 8 play time hours.
Delamain's quest itself is a retty high level one that has you going around the full map so you need a vehicle already.

Nah what im talking about is back when you had to go from seller to seller for your cars. As soon as your car got totaled regina calls and mentions she has a car for sell and its on like the floor above where your car is parked something dirt cheap like only 10k or some crap.
