Preem Optics (Exposure Adaptation and Vignette modifications mod)
Helps with the light to dark and vice versa.
Also lets you get rid of the dumb vignette (quite a few options, I use all but stealth vignette removed)
Downside is it dies not play well with other weather and lighting mods.
Legend. The only mod i found for this was outdated, this is working great !
Do you have any lighting mods or weather mods?
Have you ever used ether of the above before?
It's possible that even tho you uninstalled them, fragments are left behind. (Even when you use installers like vortex, or mod manually, crumbs can get left behind, as it were)
It's easier if you have just a couple of mods in your list, or use vortex to mod.

Cyberclean.
A simple .bat file you grab and drop into the main cyberpunk 2077 folder and double click to run. Cleans out left behind fragments of mods that manual removal or uninstall with vortex might leave behind.
The 'CyberNuke' version clears all, but you should back up your saves beforehand and make sure you have the same mods to add back in afterwards.
If that does not fix it...

No bloom-no Vignette -faster eye adaptation mod
Newest on the block for 2.13

Eye adaptation (long list of words)
another adaptation mod, also has a version for one of the most popular weather mods
I've only got a 1660 card, never used a shader, LUT or weather mod and the Preem Optics worked great for me. I only have hd characters, no bells or whistles graphics wise lol.
If you use any shaders or lighting or weather mods, maybe the shinys for cards in the 3000 and 4000 series nvidias, the other two might work better?
He doesn't even own the game
I downloaded at first, the PREEM optics mod for the eye adaptation fix, unfortunately it did not work for me, then I found another mod, I don't remember the name (something about instant removal), that uses CET.
First off, I don't use any mods, I like playing on the vanilla version, so I don't have any issues with mods conflicting.
2nd, I'm playing on linux, and the problem with that, is I can't make the CET framework to work on my wineprefix, I already tried everything and followed the guide here: https://wiki.redmodding.org/cyber-engine-tweaks/getting-started/installing/linux-proton
I don't own the game on steam, so I use lutris with WineGe, first, I install the GOG launcher, I run all my games through the GOG launcher so I can get the achievements.
The good thing is, I managed to sort of fix this issue with this mod:
https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/15725
It doesn't require CET, but it kinda made the interiors of cars really dark...but at least now I can play the game.
I'd also like to try the other eye adaptation mods so if any of you have some linux know-how about how to run CET I welcome any advice!
Also, if I remove mods from my current save (like the one I posted above) do I run the risk of corrupting my safe file? thanks!
So far, I used winetricks to install d3dcompiler_47, version(n,b) and vcrun2022, I haven't tried previous versions of vcrun though (i'm not sure how to uninstall the current version of vcrun).
I also added the dll overrides in the environment tables for both GOG launcher and cyberpunk 2077...so far no luck.
The only thing I haven't tried yet is to re-install everything, though I'm not too keen on this idea.....but if there's no other way I might give it a try
Replacement mods (the old way of getting clothing, eye colour, hairstyles or weapon skins) should be fine to remove and carry on.
Same goes for the .archive mods for override type mods (I have mods that remove most of the adult adverts, for adverts, posters and vending machine art that are lore comparable replacements. Mainly because I'm bored of seeing the same adverts.)
Those just replaced the old texture with something else.
The main ones I know of that shouldn't be removed any time into a playthru you want to keep playing, are mods that add or remove stuff (there are some mods that remove adds by just replacing adds with a blank black version that I think are ok)
And the main framework mods like CET, redscript, ArchiveXL+TweekXL+EquipmentXL or Cyberware XL. Codeware, cybercmd and so on.
As a GoG user, you might want to look into using the REDMod versions of mods.
REDMod is the 'official' way to mod the game, so in theory it should work with the GoG version of the game.
The downsides to this is that most of the mods folks use are 'legacy' mods. Ie, they were created before REDMod came around, rely on CET to work, need the other main framework mods, and sometimes don't play nice with it.
At one point folks had to use cybercmd to get REDMod mods to work AND another mod (think it's 'RED4ext, been ages since I changed up my mods lol) but then the maker of the other mod fixed it so it was an ether/or thing. You only needed their mod OR cybercmd, not both.
A lot of mods have dual downloads now. A REDMod version and a non REDMod version.
But some are exclusively 'legacy' based and need tweaking to get working.
Knowing exactly what mods you want to run (for example, just some lighting mods only, nothing else that changes the games items or mechanics) you should be able to find some that only need REDMod to run, and might be able to avoid the issues of converting everything to work with your Linux+wine setup.
I'm not sure tho, since I'm a basic windows player who only knows Linux exists (and does it still use the cute penguin icon?) so I'm not sure how REDMod will work for a Linux GoG user.
You could ask Google to check Reddit. Yeah, I know, Reddit can be bad. But it often has info that's helped me over the years (can't say how many times it's answered my questing questions when I DON'T WANT A DAMN YOUTUBE VIDEO, I just want words on a screen, to help me finish a quest lol. And I don't want to go to some game advertising site for a guide)
There may also be dedicated Discord places for Linux users, maybe someone in one of their threads knows how to make mods and Linux+wine work?
