So why does V get special treatment from Delamain? [spoilers I guess?]
He wouldn't take Jackie to a ripperdoc but the next day he is fine coming out of his operational zone to take you to one just because you randomly called him up?

And then when your car is damaged he just drops everything to speak to you and invite you into the staff only area for a coffee and a chat.

What did V do to deserve this preferential treatment other than shoot down a few flying drones while being chased?

Okay, so I just reloaded an old save to look at the computer and the AI was bought from a company called Monchengladbach. This seems like a fake company that may have just been a front for a larger entity, which would explain why they went incommunicado when the human operatives asked for support. Maybe the Delemain AI is the larger entity behind the Monchengladbach company. Maybe he sold his own Ai.

I doubt the AI sold itself to take over one company though. An AI that powerful would be capable of doing so much more than taking over just one cab firm, unless he is just in the early stages of a much larger operation.

It seems more likely to me that he is a (controlled) AI with a failsafe which is being used to take over smaller firms for the benefit of his creator(s).
I remember those logs, and i understood them to be a record of how Delamaine itself took over the company. At first it seems as though the Management bought the AI to run it's cab service, but I saw it as how Delamaine eventually took the company over through surreptitious means. A quiet hostile takeover if you will.

Like you mentioned, I agree that the 'Monchengladbach' company is a false front for Delamaine. But, here's a bit of word play: one of the rogue Delamaine calls V "Hans Jonas," who in actuality is an american gnostic philosopher born in Mönchengladbach, Germany.

Cyberpunk 2077 is full of these 'word play' moments that breathe life into what would normally be dull email/chat/log text dumps. I do remember one of the rogue Delamaine's mentioning to V that they are from beyond the Blackwall. For me, the sheer unknowability of chasing data in a game about a main protag who is literally being changed by data, makes the game for me. Like, the picture is clear, but as you move closer, the image starts to disappear around the periphery of your focus.
Yeah, there is a lot of depth in this game that other developers never bothered to explore. I think later on you do a mission for sandra dorset (the woman in the tub in the prologue) and her story opens up a weird can of worms too.

I seem to remember she asks you not to read her data files, but if you do, it opens up a whole new channel of intrigue. Fair play to CDPR for putting so much weird effort into a AAA game.

Well I'm replaying the game now, I will try to explore Sandra Dorsett's story more this time around, I seem to remember there was no real conclusion to her writing. Like a hidden gem the devs put in the game that hasn't been figured out yet. Genius!

I didn't find the Sandra Dorsett quest until my 2nd playthrough, and I thought it was so cool that a game would have this kind of continuity with it's characters. I'm on my 4th playthrough and it's still one of the best games I've played. The dialogue feels so real sometimes, and every side-quest makes Night City ever more complex. A lot of the NCPD scanner mini-quests tie in to the Gig storylines. It's really well done.

Bit of interesting lore:

There's a data journal shard called "The Psychos of MaxTac" that discusses the theory that MaxTac are ex-cyberpsychos themselves. Connecting the dots, we can opine that the Cyberpsycho missions where we choose the non-lethal options are a secret MaxTac recruitment operation.

Is Regina Jones working for MaxTac?

Oh gosh, how interesting! Kinda like sponge-brain joy-toys, but soldiers.

Mönchengladbach is a real German city, so I read the enquiry about how things are there as meaning that's where the recipient is based rather than the name of their employer (i.e the same as "how are things in Night City?")

Which doesn't make it any easier to riddle out Del's origin; if anything, it makes it harder because one can't look for clues in someone using German rather than Japanese, English, whatever for their fake name.

There might be some truth to that, but she seems genuine enough to me. Perhaps I'm just hoping that there are still people in Night City with a shred of decency. They certainly seem few and far between.

Though I doubt everyone on Regina's list of Cyberpsychos are suitable candidates for MaxTac. They are after all specialized swat members and MaxTac is highly selective.

Good candidates:
Matt Liaw would probably make the best candidate for MaxTac. He used to work for Militech and has military combat experience, but he was laid off after receiving an injury. Then he became a mercenary and without health insurance, Matt eventually developed Cyberpsychosis.

Despite being a Tyger Claw member, Norio Akuhara would make a good candidate for MaxTac since he's a formidable fighter with discipline. His loyalty to Tyger Claws may be irrefutably damaged after they killed his girlfriend and might be convinced to join MaxTac.

Russel Greene - is former military and skilled with tech and explosives, but his netrunning skills were lacking. That could however be rectified with training.

Zion Wylde - is a mercenary and war veteran from the Unification War who became an unfortunate victim of the Voodoo boys. He thought he was getting a gig, they wanted to make him into a bait. With his experience, he might be suitable for MaxTac but there might be an issue with his age.

The maybes: with training might become suitable candidates, but honestly it's doubtful.

Chase Coley - Was a construction worker who developed Cyberpsychosis after wearing Militechs Centaur with implants that were unsuitable for the exoskeleton.

Dao Hyunh - An actor who couldn't distinguish real life from a script anymore.

Gaston Philips: Spent all of his savings on a Zetatech product, but didn't read the end-user license agreement so when Zetatech wanted to confiscate it, Gaston thought he could fight them off.

The unsuitable:

Alec Johnson - Even though he probably has enough combat experience as a mercenary, he wasn't particularly successful and he is a glitter addict.

Ben DeBaillon - Wanted to rise up the ranks in Voodoo Boys and developed Cyberpsychosis after losing a fight with Netwatch.

Cedric Muller - A nomad who was a human guinea pig for Biotechnica and dependent on neuroblockers.

Ellis Carter - One of Brick's men who tried taking Royce down, but went full Cyberpsycho after failing. Maelstrom members are definitely not suitable candidates for MaxTac.

Zaria Hughes - From the Maelstrom bloody ritual. Definitely unsuitable.

They may however be suitable as test subjects. BioTechnica would definitely be interested.

Edit: Oh and I forgot Melissa Rory from Bullets the side quest in Jinguji involving a cyberpsycho. She's evidence that some of the MaxTac members might be on the verge of Cyberpsychosis or recovering from it. If V has high enough technical skill, V can comment on her Higurashi 20-13 Mantis Blades that has a known flaw affecting the prefrontal cortex and was discontinued due to said flaw.

Thing is if he sold himself it would appear sanctioned and therefor him not a rogue ai.
