Am I locked out of this Side Quest for good now?

It's called I'll Fly Away.

It is supposed to trigger from Mitch (a member from Aldecaldos) after something happens during the Panam Questline. However, I read that if not triggered by the beginning of With A Little Help From My Friends, this quest will never trigger...

:( Is there no workaround to this at all? Right now at the camp the only mission it prompts me to start is the aforementioned...Mitch is standing in a circle having a conversation.

It's supposed to come via phone message, and sometimes, there is a problem with that, not only with this quest. A possible workaround is this: stand still for a couple of minutes, without moving the controller or the mouse at all. When you start walking then, maybe the message comes. Worth a try.

Thanks, I'll give this a try. I hope that I'm not locked out, because I haven't heard anything from Panam except to start her heist quest. I'm reading online and it says after finishing that, this one auto fails... But I can't find info about what happens if this one hasn't begun yet.

Try completing that quest and maybe it'll pop.
