Edit: To be clear you just need to have downloaded it, you don't need to run it or interact with it in any other way, it just needs to be installed for the launcher to function with the mods.
It's super dumb and doesn't explain itself very well.
Two things are the major causes of it.
1. The launcher doesn't give you an error message or help you at all when you've installed a mod and tried to run it. It's an official RED piece of software, so the launcher not telling you it needs to be installed for mods to work is just.. Weird.
2. The Redmod thing itself when you view it describes itself as a modding tool. Not the actual framework you need to make the mods work.
Which at least made me think it was exclusively for those who wanted to MAKE mods, not dimwits like me who just use the ones others have made.
I just wanted to mention that I use several mods from Nexus (Cyber Engine Tweaks (CET), Fixer's Hidden Gems and some others), and I haven't downloaded this Redmod thing yet. I've seen some of the mods on Nexus requires it, but so far I haven't used any of those.
And if I remember correctly (I'm not on the gaming PC now), I think that mod slider on the launcher is disabled for me as well, or even greyed out, but I could be wrong about that. Mods still work.
Also, the launcher always crashes for me when I start the game, but the game itself, the mods and bonus content and such work fine anyway.
Come to think of it, maybe I should download the Redmod thing to see if it fixes the launcher crashes.
But the launcher has been crashing for me since before I got Cyberpunk 2077 (and I only used it for The Witcher 3, which also works fine), so I don't think it's related.

Anyways, don't matter too much.
It acts like its loading my mods...but doesnt load anything....
Anyone figure anything out?
