Autowalk?

I love the game, love the graphics and atmosphere. Therefore I love walking around, looking at everything, but damn my fingers are starting to hurt constantly pressing down on W. Why o why doesnt this game have an autowalk button? If any, this game would need one, so we could just walk around the town, listening to radio, looking at sights. Who do we have to grease up to get one? :D

Half-joking but maybe it even works: If you have a racing wheel, see if you can bind it to the pedals and just leave your foot on. Maybe you can also bind it to the throttle axis of a flight stick, if you have one.

Or bind it to the spacebar and let the weight of your hand do the work.

Depending on the keyboard you're using, there may be macro software you can use. My Logitech keyboard allows me to set them up through their program.

EDIT: I think there are just regular macro programs out there, not specific to any keyboard/mouse brand, but I'm not familiar with any.

Bit late, but here is a clean solution using Autohotkey (v2). Bonus: works with pretty much any game. F3 toggles holding down w. change keys as desired. Mouse4 is also a nice toggle, just replace F3 with XButton1 in the script to change it to Mouse4
