GIG: Breaking News, unable to collect reward
Anyone else had this issue? Those dropbox machines seem to be broken.

i had to do that a few times with "gig: freedom of the price." eventually it worked.

Just the once. I've moved onto other things now. Will return to it later and try again. If it still occurs, then I will just keep restarting. Where did you restart? Before the mission was started?

I'm having the same issue. For some reason calls don't work in the area. Then when I try to get the reward from the drop point, it only has the sell option. I've reloaded earlier saves more than a dozen times. Its the only quest I can't complete in the game now. Was really hoping to 100% it.

I know it sounds silly, but double check that it is the 'quest' dropbox and not just the first one you see. In some places there are multiple dropboxes nearby but only the one the marker takes you to will work.

Its silly, and may not be the true source of the problem but it is one of the simpler things that confuse people.

Definitely not this, unless the marker is pointing to the wrong dropbox.

Yeh, I gave up with the side content. The state of the game just makes 100% it very irritating.

If you were playing on gog I’d recommend trying the repair game feature. That works for me

So I completed this side gig "Breaking News" and did it stealthily without getting noticed by the guards. I get a call from "El Capitan", then get my $$$ from him. After which the game tells me I can collect rewards from a Drop Point. I got to the Drop Point vending machine, press "Collect Reward" and all I get is a gig completed notification. I don't get any notification of an extra reward nor has my money increased.

I'm playing on the PC version with 1.11 Patch.
