How to level up stealth?

I'm over 40 hrs in the game and I'm running a stealth netrunner build. Level 25 and street cred is 48 ... yet my stealth skill has been stuck at level 5! Wtf is this? After taking out enemies silently and hiding them in bins, cabinets, etc. doesn't seem to give me any exp what so ever. Anyone help me out on this?

How much points did you put into the respective attribute? If you put in 5 points into it, the maximum stealth level will be 5 for you.

Well ♥♥♥♥ me .. it is 5, but only because I don't want to spend points on skills I don't want. Why is there an exp level then? Seems redundant if you ask me.

you can increase your attributes as you level.

you dont want skills in the cool tree because you wont use it but you are stealthing alot... what?

You can level up stealth by knocking out or killing enemies while crouching/stealth and hiding their bodies(this one gives a lot of xp)

Just found out you can't increase stealth if you don't increase the attribute as a whole. So all this time stealthing, was exp wasted. Pretty retarded tbh. But I guess I have to grind again.

In defense of the OP, most of the stealth perks are kind of useless and other attribute points are way more useful during the gameplay. Stealth play only requires level 5 and that is why so many players put in 5 points and be done with it.

Yeah, but that is with every attribute, so if you want the ten out of ten achievement (which assumes that you need a level 20 attribute, you would need to get one of those "small attributes" to level 20 too)

Yep sneaking behind and taking our enemies is so easy that you don´t need any points in stealth. Just the silencer perk (if you want to shoot someone from time to time) but as said you don´t have to shoot anyone because silent kill is so easy.

If you sneak up to someone and use the kill and put them in the bin command. It doesn't give you xp. You have to kill them, pick them up and then put them in the bin. So if you use the kill and hide all in one you may be missing out on xp. I didn't check this with the current update, but its how it was is .04

The skill system is not explained very well. But you can level attributes in one of the main categories and then open them up and then unlock specific skills within that attribute. And some of them have tabs for multiple type of skills and play styles. The blue number is for attributes and the other is for skills within them.
