parrying attacks and still taking damage..
why is this happening? street fights are literally unwinnable because i die after 3 hits. TO CLARIFY, I'm COUNTERING HIS ATTACK. IT DOES THE ANIMATION. YET I STILL TAKE FULL DAMAGE which is like 1/3 of my health per hit.

drop heals around the ring, quicksave, R to consume and heal during the fight. if you die in 3 hits, gotta find a corner to trap your opponent, otherwise just gotta level up...

okay. but is it supposed to be dealing a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of damage even after parrying?

Get Gorilla Arms if you wanna do it legit or throw a 2k dps weapon on the floor before the fight and pick it up when the fight starts with "R" and go nuts.

you need to press block at the right time to parry, it's a small time window. Study the moves of your opponents. Takes some time but once you know it you get used to it.

Level up is pointless, I'm at level 31 doing a "very low" level brawl and still lose in 5 hits. Brawling is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ broken in this game. Unless your playing a melee character that focus on brawl perks, I highly doubt you can deal more damage than the AI can do to you.

Maybe next time make a tutorial.
Do not do this until you found the recipe to bake the cake

gorilla arms, street brawler perks, and that cybernetic that slows down time when you dodge while ads or blocking. opponents much higher lvl will still damage you on a parry, wait til the quest says moderate, danger of high is still possible with the 1st 3 things i mentioned. Gorilla arms repeatedly make them flinch and do tons of damage. when they go in for a hit, block, dodge, and slow down time. makes it so much easier to land a parry. If you can't parry even a single hit you wont have much of a chance in any of these fights. the street brawler perks will help you maintain your stamina, as well as regain health during the fight. once you figure out how to dodge and parry while constantly staggering them, it makes the fight almost guaranteed. i got my ass handed to me by the kabuki twins 5 times, and I had bet 2k the first 2 times. I wasnt expecting them to be hard either.

oh and if you wanna beat razor, good ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ luck. thats the one is meant to be almost impossible. you can beat the mission by just losing, and still get money from it. you're not gonna parry any of his attacks so dont even try. you need to make him miss every punch while you aim for his gut. I parried his first attack and it took almost all my health, I ddint even bother.

LOL i made a rage thread about this the other day as well too look it up.
It is doable but annoying and pretty unrealistic that they do so much damage and you cant really block... Strong attack lock worked well... I didnt have to resort to above mentioned exploits

Same problem, what fixed it for me was going to a ripperdoc and changing to mantis blades and then back. Then it worked as it should.
