The Chatterbox and WCTR radio was absolutely brilliant. I did not play Cyberpunk yet, but it seems to be a straightforward attempt to please the fans of the genre, taking itself perhaps a bit too seriously. GTA never took itself too serious - and perhaps that's why there are some very serous topic like torture used by secret serviced touched in a very thought-provoking manner. GTA, in any case, leans on a very experienced and confident writer(s), which would be hard to match.
Cyberpunk could have taken it to the next level but it didn't.
I mean if you compare main quest lines they are as adult as one another, if you compare the world then the only reason cyberpunk may seem more mature is because there's nothing going on as opposed to gta's occasional funny sidequest... but then again funny can be adult as well.
And consider this: Even racism can nowadays be distributed under the guise of 'satire'.
That GTA 5 NEVER gave SP players a DLC also speaks volumes to me. How many hundreds of useless gigabytes have I downloaded for Online crap I neither want nor need?
I think the writing is better in CP77 honestly. That's an opinion (subjective) but it's more elegant and sublime. The moral choices offered up in CP77 are a lot more interesting as well.
The writing (and yup, mature content) of CP77 has tickled those neurons in my memory banks and motivated me to dust off and revisit my favorite cyberpunk novels from the 80's, and that itself speaks volumes imo.
Same here.
In my view, GTA5 is filled to the brink with cynicisms, kiddie content and unfunny BS.
Fry people synapse and short circuit thru camera is fun. I kill you and you can't touch me.
Aside from Stewart. The others are complete trash as comedians.
