Beat on the Brat: 100% broken
So is anyone else having trouble with these completely ridiculous fights?
I've done the first one against the two "clones" but since then, I've tried the Arroyo fight and The Glen fight and each time I'm being KO'd in one or two hits.....

These guys punches go straight through and ignore my blocks and counters, if they push me, not punch, PUSH me, I lose 200 health which ends up with me being down to 240 health, then I get pushed or punched and its all over. I only do about 1-2% damage to these guys as well, what!?

I'm mostly a melee/unarmed build and I just get whooped. How the ♥♥♥♥ are these missions even possible. The danger is moderate on the journal as well. Is this a bug or something? I've found no one else having this issue

Try dodging instead. Their melee attacks have lock on, so spam dodges and use the heavy attack + light attack. Though focus more on dodging attacks instead. Most of the time their AI isn't very aggressive.

Try getting gorilla arms with additional damage knuckle add-ons. They helped a lot for me.

Cyberpunk has that stange level-progress, which makes quests easier when you level up. I don't mean spending attribute points or perks. Keep an eye on your gigs and sidequests and you will notice that just by leveling up some change their difficultiy f.e. from moderate to low or from very high to high.
Let those hard quests lie down a while and try them later. (And get yourself Gorilla Arms for the boxing)

Level up a lot and come back later, eventually the scaling comes in line. It's possible to dodge around for 10 minutes so you can whittle them down 1% at a time, but just not worth it. Investing in some attributes/perks/gorilla arms can help but mostly they just shorten the wait until you're leveled enough to handle it.

The quest really doesn't get you much of consequence anyway. I found it interesting at first and tedious later. Like a lot of the side content in this title, to be honest.

yeah those fights seem hard at first. but they have very simple movesets you can memorize.

mostly i charge a punch, wait for them to charge me and hit them, then one more time in case the had their guard up. repeat that until they are down, worked for every fight

Had no problems completing them. Just stand still and parry every punch.

The thing is I have been dodging, but their attacks lock on and I get commando launch'ed MW2 style and its all over.

Very very very stupid design with these fights. I'll just leave them til I'm level 50 or so I guess

As I said, my counters and parrys are ignored and I take damage

This 100%. I only have 5 body points and zero melee-focused perks (cold blood build). Having gorilla arms made these fights doable where as before I repeated lost the very first fight.

Hmm, I'll try this and see....

did anyone fight them with a melee build and if so did you only deal 1% damage?

because I believe that most people fight those fights without going into melee and the necessary cyberware

For what it's worth, i'm glad i'm not the only one with this issue.
Like others have mentioned, I have been considering getting Gorilla Arms to help, but fighting Buck in Arroyo, even level 24....is some BS.
