Give me a sec, Ill find you the audio mega thread.
That's the most active and detailed thread - hopefully, something there will help.
This is really good advice.
Hopefully, you'll find a solution!
Oh, you have the infamous crackling audio bug. The above mega-thread link is your friend.
I have same issue as OP, but more of a "static"/"crackling" sound. And the sound intensifies more when I'm running around the city and hear sound effects (i.e. cars moving, NPC's talking, etc) or when battling gangs and they have the radio(s) playing (the ones that you can shut off or hack). Man, especially when the audio is rock, the static is just unbearable.
THIS ONLY HAPPENS WHEN HEADPHONES ARE USED. NOT when I have regular audio playing. I've also tested the headphones--plugging them in USB and going bluetooth. And when I play Warzone, this audio issue doesn't happen. Also tested YouTube and still no issue with this sound. Only in Cyberpunk.
But I have played with these settings and nothing happens...
So the solution is to make CPU load smaller. Audio output quality as windows setting to lowest possible should help as that makes it less bits for CPU to manage. Also, making sure there's no other background processes running is a welcomed optimization. All CPU heavy game settings like large crowd sizes will be an issue. If you use mods that increase crowd, traffic etc - considering lowering those settings to save CPU cycles.
Finally, Cyberpunk supports XAudio API which supposedly makes all audio processing less CPU centric - turn that on if that is supported by your system. Also, if you don't need music etc - turn those to 0 so they are not needed to be rendered. Audio profiles I cannot say how they impact but any multi-channel audio is more intenstive so presumably "TV speakers" or any other 2 speaker stereo should be a solution.
So - with all things combined - I solved audio for myself. There's no single magic trick as Youtube videos etc explain - its a combination of factors that all reduce CPU load of the game reducing the issues with audio.
Bro this is from 4 years ago.
