How to remove ballistic coprocessor from hand?
So, i get that you can't remove cyberware from your body and return to normal (it's weird, makes no sense, i hate it, but ok), but i bought the tattoo of the Tyger Claws that works basically like a Smart Link, and it should also replace the ballistic coprocessor that you acquire (without any choice on the matter) the first time you visit Viktor. In the invetory menu, if you look at V's right hand, the ballistic coprocessor is not there anymore, the hand is normal, but during the game, if you look at the right hand, even during cutscenes, the ballistic coprocessor is still there. Is it a bug? If yes, will it be fixed? Is there a way to remove it for good? I kinda hate the look of it to be honest, and it's kinda useless too, not to mention it's also immersion breaking when you replace it with another cyberware.
Also, if you notice, if you buy the monowire for the arms, it adds some cyberwere to your hands too, and that clips and glitches with the ballistic coprocessor, making it look very weird, and i think it's really not supposed to look like that. That is definitely a bug, right?

You obviously didn't think this through before writing this... First of all, it's forced on you during a cutscene in a main mission, you can't choose (great customization, uh?) so it shouldn't be permanent... second, in this world you can literally change your body into whatever you want, you can install cyberwares that look like normal skin, you see it countless times around Night City, your legs and arms have sinthetic skin that looks exactly like real skin, even if you have cybernetic arms and legs... Not to mention that as i said before (you also obviously didn't read what i wrote up here) the textures of the hand look really weird during cutscenes and they glitch into other textures from other cyberwares on your hand, like the monowire, meaning that it wasn't supposed to look like that, IF the game was properly finished...
The only reason you can't change things like these is because the guys in charge of the game didn't bother or didn't think about it... like half of the promises and advertised game mechanics missing in the game...
Also, how are you supposed to know how they look on your body if you can't try them on or you don't even have a 3d model of the part, just a very small icon?? Same things with clothes by the way, you have to buy them before knowing how they actually look on you... a "triple A" game in 2020, and there are still so many flaws in simple menu designs that many games already owned more than 10 years ago... but this is not the topic of this thread anyway.

Dude, in the game someone mentions that you can replace your cybernetic limb with real skin implants. Problem is the game lacks the customization on that part.

You are not alone, I hate the look of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing. It'd be fine if it was just temporary, like after the surgery or whatever. The thing is, the texture of V's normal hand EXISTS before you get the ballistic coprocessor, so it seems like any number of modders could somewhat easily swap out the textures. My biggest problem is that for some reason, they made V habitually cough up blood into their RIGHT hand, and the texture looks unnatural and janky over the stupid implant

Yup. I just use a retex mod to remove. [Breaks "immersion", well its my game] and a better body texture to remove the anesthesia holes on the right arm.

Well, that and that this has always been how the previous versions of the game worked.

But if you do not care about that, you could always download and use a mod to change things.

Thanks for the expensive mk1 optics. I'll just instant upgrade it to the mk3 and install a legendary smartlink.

Wait, you've found a mod to retex the hands and arms? Could you tell me what they're called?

You can get some tatoo things from some missions or smart weapon targeting thing to replace the co processor hand but I don't think it will change it visuallly it will still be on your character visual wise

Wrong. Cybernetic limbs are chrome; you are mistaking RealSkinn, which is a cyberlimb cover resembling normal skin for the sake of "camouflaging" the metal.

Also, original poster is wrong too. Cyberware can be mostly removed and replaced with organic counterparts. However, in 2077, it seems bioengineering and body banks have been discarded (perhaps cyberware manufacturers pushed that way to increase their profit margins).

You can't - For plot reasons. (Meaning cutscenes)

Not in this game. In lore, however... people clone their body parts all the time just in case they lose the original thing.

gorilla arms also become permanent on your character in-game hands with no way to revert back to regular skin. annoying
