WHY NO SYNTHWAVE?!?!

Tell me why none of the radio stations in Cyberpunk 2077 have synthwave? I heard some stations that play some songs that sound like Aphex Twin, but no synthwave! Why is this game so devoid of synthwave on the radio?!?!?
It's absurd actually that they would have a game set in the dystopian future, and not include synthwave!

Yeah this was actually one of my biggest dissapointments. I mean, i do think that a lot of the songs they have on the stations they do have fit well, but, there are so many good retro synthwave artists who probably would have contributed their work for free and would have fit in perfectly.

It sure would be nice if they just had a custom radio folder like GTA has so i could dump my Gunship, Perturbator, Com Truise, Lazerhawk, Kavinsky, Monomer, etc. in there, fast forward time till its dark, and proper jam while cruising around town.

I love synthwave too but I hate to see the genre cyberpunk always being in context with this music. As much as I love stuff like Scandroid I think that the cyberpunk genre is not simply an aesthetic. For that reason I love games like RUINER just to name one example which depicted the whole cyberpunk theme and genre very well.

I'm going to be really honest and say that I utterly despise the music in this game. I actually turned all music off completely. The fact that there is no moody, Darkwave/Synthwave tracks hurts my soul. Literally Cyberpunk and Synthwave go hand in hand. I actually started playing Darkwave/Synthwave tracks on low volume in the back ground while I play.

ALSO the lighting in the game is too bright all the time, too sunny etc. Doesn't give me the feels I was hoping for. Was looking for a more Blade Runner/Altered Carbon coloring/lighting. This supposed Dark future is not very dark.:)

the music plain sucks in this game and the inventory ambient music is annoying af.

i just have the music slider set to 0.

I think it looks great, regardless of the time of day or weather. Do you have a monitor with HDR? that might be the difference.

though i will admit i wish there was an easier way to control some of the weather tendencies in an option menu so i could have that bladerunner aesthic more often without having to go manually trigger the blade runner easter egg that does it. (which is incredible, by the way)

Well actually you can find lots of hard rock/metal concerts recently pre-covid. Just cause they don't get pushed like Cardi B or whatever garbage is being served up doesn't mean they don't exist. Some metal crowds like Wacken festival in Germany are enormous.

Is there a way to add your own music to the game? That would probably be easiest instead of having the developers doing something like that... which would be the most cost effective and please everyone. I mean seriously, who listens to the radio these days anyway??
