Suddenly the game won't let me draw my weapons?

The hell? I'm in the Badlands and just got a contract on a cyber psycho, and I can't draw my weapons anymore. I've tried everything; restarting the game, reloading a save, mashing all the buttons on my keyboard, switching to a controller... Nothing works.

Has anyone experienced this wonderful bug?

Had this problem before but still managed to pull out a weapon by activating the weapon menu wheel. Default controls have it set to Left Alt button. Try holding that down.

If that doesn't work, then restart the game and load a previous save.

Yes, it sucks, but I have not seen anything from the devs regarding a fix.

Yea had it happen in badlands for drone mission had to go back like 3 auto save to find one that would work .

This happened to me after doing Riders on the Storm. Reloading saves didn't work but triggering a cutscene fixed it. Go spend time with a joytoy and after the cutscene everything should start working again.

I had this however reloading the save file sorted it for me

I think it happens when you restart the game after quitting in the area of the Aldecaldo camp where you can't draw weapons or use quickhacks and items. I'll try the cutscene fix.

Its 2022 and i still encounter this bug... Thanks for the solution btw.

I just bought the game and I can't even start the first level because I can't draw my weapon.
Because it's a start of a new game they are no old save games files I can load.
Pressing the left ALT button didn't work as one suggested above.
Starting a new game doesn't work.
I pressed every single key on my keyboard but still no weapon.
You would think that in November 2023 the bug would have been fixed.
Luckly, the game was part of a SALE 94% - WRG BUNDLE -24 GAMES for 15.52€, so it didn't cost me much but I still would like to play it.
