Maybe. Highly doubt its as cut and dried as that, though. And removing the game entirely doesn't sound like it was part of the deal.

We probably won't really know for sure until Microsoft says anything, they have been notably quiet.

Speculation is CDPR said refund and ask Sony.

Sony has their own refund policy and due to the influx of requests, they likely said.. fine. Have your refunds and gave the game the boot from their store.

that press release didn't say that. "Following our discussion with Playstation, a decision was made to temporarily suspend" - it didn't say who made the decision, all it said was that a decision was made. either way, CP2077 is out.

Well regardless it was probably the proper thing to do. The game shouldn't have been sold for last gen either way given the state of it. Kind of curious though given how much of the development cycle took place in the last gen. I wonder how much they had to scrap to accommodate next-gen tech.

i think sony is playing this smart. as far as sony is concerned the game did pass the certification. the certification doesn't guarantee a good game but with all the bad press this is giving them imo, they booted it off the store.

Should have been an GOG exclusive for awhile till they updated the game and not push it out to other platforms,this game's like a 2020 half-life for CDPR and to mess it up would be unfortune.

The final decision goes to SONY. The point is that CDPR communicated with SONY and both had the same in mind. The game was not pulled arbitrarily.

Given the huge amount of backlash they are receiving lately, I doubt they want to add more fuel into the fire.
