How do you place items in car trunk?

I can’t figure it out!

Own a car, and just walk up to the trunk,

The interact button, defaults to F on KBM.

If its a car you just bought, you sometimes cant use it until it despawns and you call it after already owning it.

Can you only store things in cars you bought? I have a truck I “borrowed.” I see the F prompt to open/close the trunk, but I don’t see an option or way to transfer inventory.

Yes, you can only stash items in the trunk if you own it. You probably dont want to stash things in a car you dont own anyway even if you could, because they have the tendency to randomly despawn when you get 3 feet away from them and look away. (thats an exageration, but during a gig you can easily walk far enough away that the car vanishes)
