[BUG] Loot Icons Disappear!
Most of my game sessions they just disappear, sometimes I see them then they're gone until new session or reload a save. Any fix?

Edit: I am looking directly at what is lootable btw and they don't even highlight much less have an icon.

--

Edit: 12/23

This bug is due to the save file of my main playthrough of 90+ hours because it's only that character. Starting a New Game ***all loot icons are back and are always visible.***

This bug degrades certain aspects of the UI the longer you play the same character because I could see ALL loot icons without even using the Scanner for the first 10-12 hours of play, then the next 30-40 hours I ALWAYS had to use the Scanner to see loot icons (of course they would all disappear again once I shut it off), then the last 30 hours the Scanner NOW no longer highlights or shows loot icons when it IS on (and of course nothing after it's shut off).

So it gets worse and worse. YET the new game works perfectly in reguards to loot icons (the always show).

Please fix whatever the hell is broken in save files.

Does anyone else have this bug?! How is it only me? And if everyone else does have this bug how did you fix it? The game is now impossible to play on my main save character.

i think someone said there was a check box somewhere to show/hide loot icons, you might wanna try turning it off and back on and see if that fixes it. might not stick though.

I've been through the settings a hundred times (literally) and I do not, nor have not, seen that ... unfortunatly.

yeah, i didnt wanna mention it originally because i wasnt sure if it was true, and im currently at work and cant launch and check on my own, and dont remember seeing it either. but there are some weird spots they put things in those settings screen, so i figured i might have missed it. (like taking 20 minutes to find the gamma correction button stuck off to the right outside of the space most of the other options are contained within. weird ui design choice that was.)

True, I've also tried several different permutations of Video settings as well and Defaulted everything from Sound to Interface and still can't fix it. Oh they'll show for a little while but then they disappear [until reload or new session].

Out of nothing but curiosity, what are your specs? I'm wondering if a slow physical HDD or memory might be contributing factors. I mean lets face it, its probably just a bug that will get fixed soon, but since nobody else has chimed in saying it happened to them too, im really curious.

Two M.2 NVMe 4.0 (one O/S and the other for games)

32GB RAM
GTX1070 (OMG can not even find an upgrade so put my last rig's card in this new one lol)
3800X

LOL yeah, i know the feeling. I'm still running a Vega 64 because all the stuff that has come out lately that is substantially better is either jacked overpriced on ebay or just out of stock.

And those specs sound overall pretty great, so, its probably not just the classic "my pc is a potato" problem ive seen many times on this forum in the past week.

did you do the obvious video driver updates too?

Aye, but only the day after Launch Day. (460.89)

No matter, I'll just hope for the best but in a way it's not terrible having to scour every pixel. Adds to the exploration. I just want it back for the places I have to get out of dodge ASAP and pick 'em up on the way out ... which I now no longer can. The first 2 days or even 3! I never had this problem with loot icons disappearing. I swear its my Save File or some other corrupted config file.

On the bright side, this is one of the bugs you can easily roleplay is part of the story. blame it on that bad implant.

This is beyond frustrating!

Look at the next 10 or 20 seconds of this video and note all the Loot Icons: https://youtu.be/eSneA4ZNPhg?t=413 (time mark 6:53)

You see all those icons? I have none of that anymore. Something went horribly wrong with my game files, config files, or some weird settings permutation making my game near impossible to carry on unless I want to spend 1 to 2 hours looking at the ground after every fight!

Seriously no one else has this bug of Missing Loot Icons?

OMFG How do I fix this?!?!?!?

Dude I just got this bug. For me it happens as soon as I step into the diner for the I Fought The Law quest- and at other points too.
This is after the patch, any way around it that you know of?
