How to complete refund procedure after 40 hours play because Cyberpunk 2077 is not up to my expectations.
My first refund was refused by Steam mail.

CDPR is not offering any out of the ordinary refund. In their statement they only said they will "assist" people if they wanted to refund on their respective platforms. The statement they released is just to save face and doesn't really provide anything new in terms of refunding your money.

Its not even that.

Assuming its doable at all if he wants a refund on Steam they are going to want his Stream profile name to verify the purchase and the refund. The moment they see over 40 hours of game play on his account they are going to start laughing hysterically at the request then deny it.

You will not get a refund period, you played 40 hours thats wayyyyyyyyyyy past the acceptable refund timer. It would be like getting a burger, eating it, pooping it out and trying to refund the poop

From what I've seen, I think people on PS4 are struggling to get their promised refunds too as CDPR made the promise without actually clearing it with Sony first.

I think we would have no chance of a refund on Steam if over the 2 hour mark.

Ummm... no. Even in countries where local consumer law supercedes Steam, 40hrs would be classified as 'long enough to have met the reasonable expectations of the consumer'. If you've played for that long, it was obviously 'fit for purpose' and you're not getting a refund.

It depends. If you don't refund often and are under 8 hours I'd still give it a shot if you really want a refund.

I've had refunds around the 4-5 hour mark before, the automated system won't approve them but they get reviewed by an agent and if you don't refund often they will often approve them.

At 20+ hours I would fully expect that Steam agent to just start making fun of me in the responses.

I refunded my gog version after 60 hours, no questions asked. I'm thinking of doing the same with steam copy as well, as cdpr said they are doing any refund. I would link their post in you're refund ticket, that is what I will be doing.

Submit a ticket, Bot will always auto decline after 2 hours or 14 days.

Just keep asking until they give in.

That raises the question. Is it possible to get banned from the Steam support account?

Maybe Jonathan can volunteer to run that experiment for us.

But if you get the runs after finishing the burger you would want a refund right? So if you finish the game and decide it sucked, you could make an effort to argue you deserve a refund.

No, only if the burger was poisoned and/or rotten/bad and you get sick; and then you wouldn't ask for a refund, but instead sue them for losses and mental/physical damages.
I don't know if people did that in the end, but I remember Anthem caused some console players damages on their console, so that is comparable.

So basically you just pirated it! Shame on you!
