Stop Being Traced?

idk if i'm doing something wrong, but I'm doing the All-Foods part of The Pickup. and wanting to do stealth, but the netrunners keep tracing me, even if i don't use quickhacks. It progresses too fast for me to get rid of them without being spotted.

How levelled up are you ?

You can move back a bit - that slows tracing progress. Once you're out of certain area of effect, it stops completely and fails. You can do that if you're being unfairly traced.

I was lv 5, but not really gotten any upgrades

i've gotten past it now, i just figured out how to get rid of them before it got to 100%. crazy that that section was way harder than the arasaka tower

The mission is so early on the game you don't have other tools to counter that except to getting distance from the netrunner. Later you can have selfICE or hack back trough walls skills. You could play in the locked Watson (pre heist area) to get high enough level and get those counter tools, but might get boring
