The game is pretty mature as for bugs and mod-fixable quality of life improvements.
There are about 11000 mods at Nexus. Most are reskins, content additions and what could be regarded as "cheats" (from very mild to god-mode level ones). Those who could be regarded as "quality of life mods" are mainly up to personal taste. It is hard to make a general recommendation list.
Some I use :
No intro videos
Simple untrack quest (on map)
If you go to Nexus and choose sort by "endorsement" you get a general idea of what is popular. Many mods depend on other mods that enable certain framworkes, Those enablers usually score very high.
Ok well that's good to know that I won't need to do a bunch of fixes like last time I bought a AAA game.
After almost four years a decent developer, and I still count CD Projekt Red as one, would have ironed out most glaring bugs and glitches.
At the launch it certainly was different.
Still kept an eye on it and held out hope it could be fixed. After what I heard with phantom liberty I decided to get it.
Unfortunately I had previously bought Starfield instead of getting cyberpunk when I had the extra money. I couldn't save that trash with mods. Glad cyberpunk has been ironed out. Hopefully it'll be worth the wait

I think the game is good to go unmodded and without any fixes, but there is a good one called 'Cyber Engine Tweaks' (CET) that does some fixing and other optimizations by simply installing it. Several other mods are also dependent of it:

(I see it has 2,7 million unique downloads!
Modders recreated with mods the game we should have had since day one and never got (not at a 100% but still...).
Now the other problem is the following question :
What in the vanilla game doens't not suit you, needs to be adjusted, overhauled or restored and how many mods will be necessary, for you to be satisfied with the game......provided you don't hit the "game breaking script/mod conflicts wall" that will crash your game ?
This is the whole problem with CP 2077.
Could you list some of these must have mods that makes the game that "we should have had since day one".
I'll do it tomorrow don't you worry.
