Do you sell tier 5 weapons or do you disassemble them?
I'm wondering if I should be trying to save up creds (so I can buy all the cars/apartments) or save up components so I can upgrade all cyberware to 5++?

What do you guys do?

bit of both, keep the ones you like and iconics, break down others for part and just sell all the low stuff you get. by end game youll be rolling in eddies

I dismantle absolutely everything except items I equip.

Money is not hard to come by, at all; components, especially high-tier ones, are far more valuable to me.

As Draconifors said, scav everything & disassemble unless you like the cosmetics of something or you really want to use it.

I've sold very few weapons, mainly in the start when I needed money. Money will be no problem after a few levels, but components will be in demand. You need a LOT of components to upgrade to the highest tiers.

If you have the DLC, start doing those repeatable car-jacking missions to get those discount badges for the autoshop! Also some great rewards for those missions, including components.

I'm a stickler for getting every apartment and vehicle every playthrough so I usually sell items early on and disassemble them as I go on.

Sell or disassemble according to what you need. But be aware that money is far easier to come by in the game than crafting components.

T 1-3 get sold, T 4 and 5 get disassembled. I've usually got piles of T 1-3 components without disassembling weapons.

This is what I am planning to do, hence I am tossing up to sell or disassemble, as it seems like it will be costing quite alot to get all the cars and apartments.

I sort of left the DLC after I was granted access to exit Dogtown. Maybe I will go back in there to do these car jacking missions.

Thanks everyone!

It depends on what I need at the time. Sell them if I need money. Disassemble them if I need components.

Yes, once you've done the first one, these car missions will spawn all over the map, not only in Dogtown, and they're fun if you like these things. And the rewards are top notch. Usually some skill shards (very nice), some high tier mods, as well as weapons and components. Some money shards as well. Comparable to those airdrops in Dogtown when it comes to rewards, I think.

And of course the tokens giving you 10-15% (?) off on your next vehicle purchase, which can be stacked up to 90% discount (I think).

I like to do Dogtown stuff in small doses (very depressing place lol), so it's nice to have those repeatables with Dogtown loot spawn all over the map.

Dismantling is only needed if you're into crafting, I feel. Cyberware for instance, uses different components, so dismantling weapons and armor won't help with that.

....umm, no. Upgrading cyberware uses the exact same components that you use to upgrade/craft weapons. Maybe it was different before 2.0, but now they're the same. Only different components are the ones used to craft quick hacks.

After you get a certain amount of money where you can just buy whatever you want, like 500,000 eddies or more, I usually always disassemble because I can use the materials for crafting and stuff

I sell the white items, it gets expensive to try to unlock every clothing skin in the game, and I feel compelled to do so. For normal people, you can absolutely scavenge everything and make enough money from gigs.

I wasted so much money from different cyberware upgrades that I didn't craft and just bought. That really was my money sink and I didn't buy many cars or apartments. I got a super nice apartment and a military Hum Vee. But my build is pretty nasty.
