What do you do when you complete everything?
Just curious how other chooms spend their Cyberpunk time once they've completed the main game and Phantom Liberty?

Do you guys replay with different stories and builds or just stay in the end game and just go about living in Night City and exploring the world?

Just looking for ideas and seeing what everyone does.

Cheers :story:

Replay with different builds. Bit of exploring the world; Fixer's Hidden Gems (both) I found a good way to 'wind down' a playthrough & see some stuff you might otherwise not see (the first time playing them both, at any rate).

Myself, I have 9 different V's, with 9 different personalities and style which I swap about with.
Each one is roleplayed, so they have restrictions (things they don't or won't do)
This lets me keep going as much as I want. I have a 'base save' for each of them, so I can go back and play it again lol.

Some people mod the game to something new.
Mods like 'enemies of night city', 'lifepath and gang-corp traits' or 'stealthrunner' can change the way the game plays.

Others change the visuals with shaders, visual overhauls ect.
Then there are the photo storyteller folks who max out AMM with the pose packs and make amazing pictures.

If you haven't tried different play styles yet, those might be a quick way to get more value.
If you started with a 'beat things to death with my fists' Streetkid, maybe try a 'sneaky mouse gets the digital cheese' corpo net runner or a 'Howdy, partner' pistol and rifle Nomad who acts like a cowboy.

If you want some way out there suggestion Video's, check a choom called "Dalfang" out on YouTube.
They have Batman, Thor, a ton of other theme builds to enjoy.

Aren't there any fan made missions added?
I know there's a missing person mod but it doesn't give that much to do other than to go to different parts of the map

This mod maker
https://next.nexusmods.com/profile/deceptious/about-me?gameId=3333
Deceptious

Has made a few mods with quests.
They also created mods to enhance the romance hang outs, to allow you to go for drinks and sit at bars with your friends, mods to let you do stuff like call Johnny out to play his guitar or ride with you in cars, and is the maker of the 'romances enhanced mods'
( Which give River, Kerry, Panam and Judy schedules around their home zones, and let's you interact with them more that vanilla)

If you always wanted to be part of a gang, maybe this one
https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/7233
The Gangs of Night City mod.
Let's you join a gang, with all the ups and downs that brings with it. Joined the Valentino gang? Yeah, now the Maelstrom dont like V as much, it's going to be harder to deal with them in a friendly manner.
Or you can stay neutral, but it's faction system can mean if you make any of the factions mad enough, they may send hit teams after V (different yo the way they do in 2.1)
You can earn a garage, rep. There are gang on gang hotspots (added by the mod on top of the current scripted vanilla ones) and so on.

Or... Maybe you prefer to be the Ghost of Night City. Never seen, but always hidden in the background.
https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/7616
Stealth runner - stealth gameplay expansion mod
Allows you to be rewarded for playing the way you like. Sneaky sneaky.
You get rewards for completing missions (that are not normally stealth) with variables like never being seen, no kill and so on.

There is a mod where V can have a day job as a courier, delivering packages between drop points.

The issue right now is that we only just got told that 2.12 is the last 'main' patch. Every time they patch, modders scramble to catch up and fix stuff that got broken.
Not sure we have our own version of the script extender like the Skyrim and fallout ones yet
(I think we have a basic one so far)
I'd put a follow on Deceptious tho, they have their core mod that most if not all of their mods work via, and they are one of the few people making quest mods.

Oh, and the Fixers hidden gems mod has it's counterpart for phantom liberty too, so it's worth it at least once.

I alternate between both versions of V with a different build and playstyle in mind, I decide if he/she smokes or drink, good person or total ♥♥♥♥, lethal or non-lethal.

Right now I'm with Vincent, a corpo, he doesn't smoke or drink and he doesn't kill people but he lies and plays information game with others.

Last time with Val, she was street kid, smoker HEAVY drinker, knife throwing/high reflex katana user, finished DLC on a KillBill vibe.

I also see if I wanna interact with Johnny a bunch or just focus on V and being a ♥♥♥♥ to him.

I lost count on how many V's I have in my savefiles, pretty much all lvl 50-60 and I make a new one whenever I feel like he or she have accomplished their goal.

Exploring corners I haven't seen before is my favorite thing and this is how I do it. :arasaka:

My favorite playthrough so far was my Ninja StreetKid build.
I enjoy stealth and when that goes to ♥♥♥♥, I really enjoy Sandevision Hack and slash..haha

I have probably only done 4 full playthroughs since the original release...my favorite path is street kid. I usually stick with that. I have done one Corpo playthrough as a Netrunner...that was pretty fun too...but I will say..I could not get immersed with the Nomad path...just doesn't fit the story for me anyways...

Myself...I like to grind and grind and level up my V before tackling the story...I enjoy to this day finding all the nooks and cranies and seeing all the random ♥♥♥♥. Love Night City. In my opinion one of the best open Cities to play in. I still haven't memorized the city yet. Haha

Such a good game.
I'll always enjoy playing this game.

Replay without the mini map-- its harder and yet easier than you think it is.

Along wiht hat replay with a core character concept in mind and stick to it. Want to be a brawler? Brawl, dont hack, go in there gorilla arms swinging, want to be the netrunner trope? Stick to monowire once you can and NEVER use any other weapons.

Or whatever other little handicap you choose to give yourself, it all ends up feeling funner.

Can attest to that lol.

Vinnie is my angry Ginger Boi.
(I had to grab a skin tone AND hair tone mod to make him lol)
The one thing the poor streetkid wanted his whole life.....was to be a Valentino. Maybe it was being a natural Ginger...or the anger management issues...duno, but they never accepted him. (Even tho he was Haywood born n raised, in Vista Del Ray)
Meeting Jackie, he found his Bro. His go to geezer. Jackie embodied the Valentino to him. So he was more than devastated loosing him. He only went along with the dumb heist because the jackster wanted so badly to get into Afterlife.
He spends his time gorilla arms punching the hell out of anyone and everyone that makes him mad.... And everyone.....makes him mad. (Think Ginger Hulk Smash)
Valentino's are the only folks other than Mox's who don't get punched down, then double tapped with another, just to be sure lol.
(His mom taught him to be nice to the Mox....she was one herself lol)
The one thing he wants now, is payback. And Johnny Silverhand's self deletion offer of a head on collision with Arasaka Tower and the notion of punching Adam Smasher into the pavement is just what his broken little ginger heart is set on.
And if he falls, so much the better. He'll finally be a Valentino, after they paint him a scary mural on some corner wall of Vista.
"Just be sure to get my hair right... Kay?"

Rules are, when I play him...
Kill any gangoon, corp mook or cop that starts in on me. Anyone who draws.
Anyone who cuts me off when driving, unless it's my fault.
Only exceptions are Mox and Valentino's

Only allowed to use gorilla arms. No guns, no hacking. Berserk or sandevistan os, or the new Chrome Compressor (I've had all 9 V's since 1.6 lol)
He only wears Valentino tagged items (back in 1.6, when I used 'streetstyle mod' it was easy, but I have a good memory for his gear items lol) or that he sees on actual Valentino gangoons.
He's devoted to Misty, as she's his best buddy's girl (that means he's carefull not to hurt her feelings, treats her gently and would punch an Animal in the face if they insulted or threatened her. He has no designs on her tho. You just don't do that to your best buddy's output, man)
His one goal, outside of trying to save his skin, is to get famous enough to get a mural. If that means dying seconds *after* punching Smasher so hard, he becomes an Arasaka coloured smear on the floor...then so be it.

It's fun, going against your standard play style sometimes.
Otherwise, I'd always be a stealth archer/throwing knife and silenced pistol build XD

I actually did a 100% playthrough with everything off except the minimap, maybe I'm ready for the full experience now lol

buttons are easy to remove once you remember keybinds and HP is very fun without since you see the screen red when close to death, I just hold ALT to check my buffs

Start a new game under a different Lifepath. If you played male V, play female V. Use different weapons and Attribute/Perk setups. Do various jobs and gigs in a different way.

This game is like a 100 dish, all-you-can-eat buffet and people are stopping after they finish a single plate.

I'm gonna be honest...so I have about 4 playthroughs...1 with PL DLC..
I told myself.."I'm gonna try a female V" that should be a different experience...

Well...it certainly was....5 min in I just stopped and deleted that game...lol

Am I a sexist...maybe...🤷‍♂️..lol
All I know is this game immersed me so much with its First Person play...I was V...
And in my brain...V is a man..something I can't get passed...Am I missing out?...maybe...I hear the female V is actually a good character...

When I first started the game back at launch I kinda wished they had the 3rd person option...thats my go to every time..but this game forced me to play in 1st...and I loved it!

I'm the exact opposite, if there's a female option i will ALWAYS pick it. Its an RPG, you quite literally pick your role to play the game. If you feel comfortable only playing dudes then play a dude.

I also almost always pick the rangiest options. But in games where theres a gender lock on roles, like POE or Diablo 2 etc i'll usually prio playing a female in a class i don't like over a male in a class i do like despite it only being a gender.... i just would rather play females.... though sorc in Last Epoch was fun enough i just named my player Gramps and tried to ignore it.

I sure won't try to tell you what you ought to like...if female V doesn't work for you, then she doesn't (although the voice acting is absolutely first rate, and the romance with Judy is "chef's kiss'"). But keep trying...this game features so many different ways to play I'd be shocked if you just couldn't find something sufficiently novel to draw you in once again.

I completed but I want to try mods now. Just a bit worried that I'm gonna brick my entire character but I guess now it won't matter.
william_es Jul 3, 2024 @ 8:56pm
If I completed everything? I mean everything... I'd go play another game. "Everything" to me means multiple playthroughs, all builds tried, all the endings. There's nothing left to do after that.

You don't get enough skill or perk points to level up more then about 2 attributes through a playthrough (at least at the speed I was going). I was spreading them evenly, right up to the point where I ran into checks against attributes that required 11 points. I think my highest was 8. Had to respec the character to get past it.

There is a lot of replayability in that kind of system. I went with an intelligence/technical build. Used lots of tech weapons, but my number one weapon was quickhacks. Finished entire fights without ever firing a gun even once. It's literally too OP.

There are also a lot of different endings. I triggered one ending by accident. Not going to spoil any details, but that actually shocked me. I misread the choices, and then it was too late. I found that disturbing enough that I stopped playing for a day to let it all settle. I'm actually curious enough that I might play through the others just to see what they're like.
