Issue with night/dark being so dark it is effectively unplayable

I am having an issue where night and just dark areas are basically black holes which I fumble around unhappily to work with. I wake up in my apartment and it is morning, and blinds open I still can't see a single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing in my room. I am not far into the game, so I want to address this now just in case any fix for some reason requires me to trash the save.

Is there a fix for this? Is this a known issue? Any and all help welcome, just be warned I am not tech literate.

Not widely known.

Something is off though, it should not be like that. There are only 2-3 basement type places in the entire game that are "pitch black" (on purpose). Other than that "darkness" is not an issue at all.

Can you post a picture?

Usual suspects? System specs, drivers up to date, any mods?

In your game settings there's a spot where you can adjust the brightness of the game. Look under Video, there's a button that allows you to adjust Gamma level.

Tried this out but I was not successful in changing the total darkness at all. I will try to post some pictures later to showcase the issue.

Ok an update. My drivers were up to date and things seemed to be all normal. The one thing I did do was go into my geforce experience controls and had it auto setup cyberpunk for me. After I did that, and restarted my computer, things seem to be normal now. So the unplayable darkness is gone. For now.

If there is any change I will post again here I suppose. Thank you again you two. Technology scares me.

i got the same issue here, try opening your inventory, do you see V dark also?
