Report a translation problem
There is a mod that allows you to switch mods out and collect them from disassembled weapons...I tried it but find I prefer to work within the new system.
Are you playing at Patch level 1.63? This ability was removed in 2.0.
What I find is I can't replace mods on random drops with mods already installed, but occasionally come across a random drop that has 2 empty mod slots, these I can replace as you would normally
I'm currently using a satara 5++ that is just a standard drop with 2 mod slots, which I have replaced mods many times on, I have others like this too, they seem to be like x-mod 2's except you can't upgrade the weapon itself
( A satara 5++ with kneel and vivisector make all my iconic weapons seem like toys :-))
That's crazy...I'll have to check that out in my own game, I guess it's possible you have a very favourable lucky bug however.
I'm using a Kneel mod in a 5+ Crusher and it's a giant-killer.
Typically I'm stuck with junk mods in standard weapons I can do nothing with too, but sometimes get these 2 mod empty weapons, which are becoming more frequent now, infact I got a 5++ testera just after my last post with 2 empty mod slots that I plan to try out right about now, kneel and firecracker I'm thinking
Giant killers are shotguns for sure, caused a total respec from me
Maybe ppl have just been missing to notice these, I sure did to begin with, didn't notice them for what they were until I was lvl 30+, just selling/breaking them with everything else
They also might have just been added with latest patch, as it is my only reference
which makes sense to me, as the crafting specs capping at T5 seems to make them basically useless endgame, but being able to craft endless T5++ x-mod 2 weapons would not be on, so maybe the devs went with this idea instead
