Toggle Sprint only Toggles ON, but not OFF
Am I just bugged, or does the Sprint Toggle really only toggle Sprint ON? If I click it again it does not toggle Sprint OFF. I don't mean to be pedantic, but if that's truly the way it works then it's not really a toggle. It's simply an "Activate Sprint" button. A true toggle works both ways, ON and OFF.

The only way I can stop Sprinting is if I stop moving completely for a moment. That just doesn't seem right.

If I'm just doing something wrong, please let me know. Thanks, all.

(shrug)... turns off once you run out of stamina.
If you want more control...then use push to sprint. I prefer the cruise control option, myself (makes sliding easier.)

And you can't get thru the DLC without being able to slide... it's impossible.

I never said anything about not using slide. I don't know where you even got that from. And I didn't ask for you to tell me to use HOLD for Sprint. I don't like "Hold for Sprint". That is why I use "Toggle", whenever I can. And this game has a feature that is labeled as a Sprint Toggle feature. But it does not function as a toggle. At least, not for me. That is why I also left open the possibility that I may be experiencing a bug or glitch of some sort.

I don't know why any of that would bother you in the slightest. I am not asking, or even suggesting that your method of playing the game be altered in any way, shape, or form. And I never made a single statement about not being able to Slide, or about not using the Slide ability. I have no issues with Sliding. And this post has absolutely nothing to do with Sliding.

And you, stating that you stop sprinting when you run out of stamina was completely pointless, and nonsensical. Obviously, you stop sprinting if your stamina runs out. Are you seriously suggesting that every time I sprint I should continue to do so until I deplete my stamina? And use that as my means of deactivating Sprint? Are you intentionally attempting to troll, or what?

There is nothing false about my statements on the, supposed, Sprint toggle. It only toggles the Sprint ability ON, If you press it again it does not deactivate the Sprint ability. Therefore, it is not functioning as a toggle. It is simply an "Activate Sprint" button.

You seem to have some sort of problem with me wanting a malfunctioning, or mislabeled, feature to be fixed.

And as I already mentioned, I am open to the possibility that I may be causing this issue myself somehow, unintentionally, or experiencing a bug. Either way, I am simply stating my observations, and seeking in formation.

If you have nothing constructive, or even relevant, to offer to the discussion, then just move along.

Haven't tried the sprint toggle, but I was also a bit surprised that once you enable normal sprint (with Shift) it keeps going until you stop running (instead of stopping when you release Shift like in other games), but quickly got used to it. Have to stop moving to stop sprinting, in a nutshell.

And sprinting doesn't use stamina in the game, so you could sprint 'forever', which is also a bit weird, tbh. Crouch sprinting uses stamina, though.

I just checked in the settings now, and saw that holding Shift to sprint was on the right Shift-button, and the toggle was on the left (so I had actually used 'toggle' all the time), so I just reversed those. So now I only sprint while holding the key. Silly of me to not check this before

Can't help with the toggle on/off, though. It only toggles on like you say.

Hey,thanks, for the information. I do appreciate that. I have been making do with just standing still for a split second to stop my Sprint. It just doesn't "feel right", to have to completely stop running in order to deactivate Sprint.

I have people, constantly, say things to me, such as, "Just hold Shift with your pinky to Sprint, and then stop pressing Shift to stop Sprinting. And in an ideal world, perhaps I would do that. But I have some physical ailments that effect my hands and my dexterity, so toggles and thumb buttons on my mouse have been a huge help in many of my games.

Right now I have my Sprint ability set to the M4 thumb button on my mouse. And I have Sprint set to, "Toggle". Which would be perfect, if it actually worked as a toggle. I hate having to actually come to a full stop, just to stop Sprinting, and then continue on running. It's just, "weird", for lack of a better term. =P

I didn't realize the difference between the Left and Right Shift buttons, either. And,although, that doesn't solve the issue I'm having, I thank you for sharing the info. It's still good to know.

No problem, and I feel for your condition.

I actually switched back to the way it was. I was so used to not holding Shift after starting the sprint that I found it distracting to keep holding it (and the pinky also actually started trembling a bit, which was a bit disturbing. I'm getting older, and the pinky doesn't get much workout!). It also made it harder to do certain other key-combinations while holding Shift.

A working toggle would be welcome, indeed.

Exactly my sentiment! I'm getting up there in years as well, and my fingers don't always want to do what I tell them! =P I also get the weird trembling in my pinky, and even my thumb, sometimes, when I go to press one of my thumb buttons, will have this weird muscle spasm, or something, where, instead of my thumb clicking the button, instead, my thumb will just straighten itself out! It's super weird. And it kinda worries me about my future of gaming. =(
