Stuck with unavoidable vehicle combat
I've hit a major wall now. I'm early in the game, before the Heist, and playing on Very Hard. Each time I try to enter a vehicle, my own or anyother, I immediately get attacked by two vehicles with three enemies in each. Two of them elite with mantis blades. All six swarm me at the same time and it's impossible to beat them all at my level. I can hold of the normals but just one elite can rush me and it takes like three hits and I'm dead.

Is this intended? Don't wanna lower the difficulty but I'm considering using console commands just to skip this.

If gangoons chase you in vehicles it is because you have completed missions/gigs against their gang/clan. If combat is too hard just exit the vehicle and run away..............they do not chase you very far.
This issue has been covered before on the forum.

I've also recently started a new game, and at one point during the initial pre-Heist run I also had this happening at one point; 2 cars with one elite in each, and 2 'regulars', the elites with blades and zip-speed and pretty brutal death. Had to reload a few times.

i think it's one of the gigs or side jobs that triggers it. Did they have notes on them saying "V must die!" or similar?

Anyway, I was only playing on normal (upped to hard now), and you could try lowering the difficulty for just this fight. I don't think the game 'punishes' you for not playing at very hard all the time, unless there is some achievement for it?

Yeah, on Hard and Very Hard difficulties, if you trigger one of these events early on, your V just doesen't have the perks, cyberware or equipment for this to be a fair fight. If you try to fight them, you get killed so fast you often don't even realize what just happened.

Fortunately, you don't have to fight them, and early on, i recommend that you don't. You can also out run them, and early on, that's a much better option.

So pedal to the metal, leave them in the dust.
