I see there is a demo version, but not sure how much you can test with it, but worth a check.
Try running a cleanup utility like DDU for example and then reinstall the GPU drivers.
Which config file would that be?
I got the game to start by lowering going into eco mode. I tried the benchmark in Cyberpunk but the frames were pretty low.
I reinstalled it but no change. Still get the same message.
If so, try starting the game from GFE not Steam.
It is a laptop.
What a bunch of crap to break the game like this.
I'm not sure what the right answer is but I finally launched the game after:
- updated with nvidia 552.12 drivers
- launch the game the first time after using the Geforce experience panel (remaining in the games and application panel and clicking on the image of the game to launch)
Then the game still launched normally. problem solved 10 minutes ago :). While I haven't been able to play with it again since February 2024 with my new PC.
Hope that helps.
IT WORKED!
All I had to do was go into my settings and turn the game on performance and not powersave.
Wish I thought of that before I messed around with my drivers lol.
I appreciate it

layers upon layers of transparency are visible over and over making the darkness shades brighter than they should be?
I checked my settings and they're all set for quality but I don't think lowering them to performance will change much.
