The Pickup Tracing Bug?
So returned to the game and i am running thru The pickup as stealth.
So in the area where brick is held, i get traced by a netrunner even though no los, only thing i do is shut off the cam, the trace start as soon as i get my first take down, it feels like a bug or am i missing something?

I believe they can use the cameras to track you, just like it's possible for you as the player to hack enemies through cameras.

Unless you destroy the cameras.

I agree. I've noticed that when inside the radius of a camera's potential LOS, the trace starts if there's a netrunner.

Hm, so maybe it's not just cameras but even enemies or perhaps it's the netrunner - if you're within a certain radius of them they can auto-trace you. However, there's a perk that let's you counter hack through walls if a netrunner comes for you

It's called Counter-A-Hack in the Intelligence tree, on the left side, second tier.

ive never tried this on stealth since its still too early (level-wise (attribute points))to have a decent stealth build but i do think that enemy netrunner can hack u thru cams and their allies (you can see if this happened by the line connecting to another node (could be enemy or cams) before it gets to you). so if thats not the case it might be a bug

the tracing "line" comes from the netrunner sitting behind a crate in the furthest end of the room, i got it by just killing everyone before the trace completed, was going for slow stealth, but had to knife throw me thru.

Just opening the lower level doors seems to auto trigger the Netrunner in my experience, but entering the upper level door does not... Might be a combo of things since everything is quite close in that section of All Foods.

That's a good idea, but you can also invest in "Self-ICE" Cyberware (It's part of the Head slot). That will auto cancel an enemy hack within a certain time limit. The higher the level, the quicker the reset. (5++ is down to just 20 seconds, so V is almost impossible to hack)

Interesting discussion. I just tried to do a run through starting from scratch since I've always done it before with a pre 2.0 build starting from at least after Chapter One with a lot more to work with. I had this V to level 15 before starting The Pickup and had a decently filled out tier 2 cyberdeck, and a few decent pieces of quickhacks at tier 2 thanks to hacking access points. I had cyberware capacity to around 80. I've concentrated on stealth and Intelligence mostly, Intelligence 15, tech 9 and the others at 4. There just doesn't seem to be that much more left to do in the lock down part of the north section to get V to a level where Tier 5 components are even available, let alone tier 5 ++. If there is, I'd love to know about it.

By the way, took out all the cameras and still had the netrunner trying to trace me, and choke-holded nearly everyone without notice, but Jackie is uncontrollable so who knows what problems he causes. Got to to where I could spot the netrunner by stealth before he finished the trace and took him out with two short circuits. But the area is in utter chaos and survival is a very careful affair at that point.

Just found out about this situation in The Pickup today, I didn't use to rerun the early game back when I was actively playing the game. I believe it has something to do with this bug I found which was not fixed in 2.1.

Once the AI changes state from sleeper to idle, as you progress through the level, something must be triggering their damage events and leading to a tracing call.
