GPU at 98% no matter the settings
I've been playing fine for a while now, but recently my game's been at 98% GPU and 70%ish CPU on a 4060ti no matter if its on low or Ultra graphics, no other game seems to be having any issues like this... Any advice?

Means your CPU is too big, you should downgrade so they're both at 98%.

there is no issue

What's your framerate? You can cap it...

There will always be a system bottleneck in different games and applications. If you're already playing at 1080p then this is expected behavior.

Does the framerate numbers change on low and ultra? I think you're most likely running the game uncapped or at a high refresh rate, so changing the settings won't change the GPU load percentage unless you hit a CPU bottleneck with very high framerates. Being GPU bound is normal and it means that your 4060ti is the limiting factor in your computer to achieve better performance. It's better to be GPU-bound than CPU-bound in games, and like SlayerNebula mentioned, there will always be a bottleneck somewhere, whether that's the system or the game engine itself. Creating a perfectly balanced computer where you are able to peak both components are near impossible because every game has different scheduling with how it can utilize your computer. If you want limited loads, limit your framerate.

Why would you be worried about your GPU being at high usage? it's suppose to be over 80%/90% when playing. I also recommend capping it below the refresh rate of the monitor to save power and have smoother experience.
Anyway... usually problems start when your cpu usage is high...

am i crazy or is this normal and what you'd want? why would you want your gpu usage to be lower? you'll generally be getting less performance.

He's probably got his frame rate unlimited and seeing his gpu at 100% usage is causing noise... high temps and coil whine. Maybe im looking into it too much? The GPU is always suppose to be used as much as possible. The only time when you would have your gpu usage to be lower is when you cap your frame rate.
Ill say it again... the worrying thing is when you cpu is at 90%

That's the proper behaviour, if you gpu was 20,30% then you should worry

it's fine this is how it should be if you are not capping your FPS, you can cap it and it will go down.

I would recommend setting DLSS to performance.

… So? What is the actual issue?

Do you have framerate issues due to high GPU usage?

Do you have frametime issues due to high GPU usage?

Do you have high temperatures due to high GPU usage?

Are you getting crashes, BSODs or general system instability due to high GPU usage?

Are you getting coil whine/loud fans due to high GPU usage?

So again:
What is the actual issue?

The issue is that he probably read SOMETHING about GPU's SOMEWHERE on the interweb...

It's not supposed to be at (or over) anything.

It varies from game to game. You could be hitting 250fps in one game, but only be using 25% of your GPU... There's no problem there. You might be hitting 90fps in another game, and using 95% of your GPU. Still no problem. Or you might be playing something more demanding, and only getting 25fps while your GPU is constantly at 99%. This would be a problem, because your GPU is acting like a bottleneck.
